Winter wedding... not winter dress

Winter wedding... not winter dress 1
Winter wedding... not winter dress 2
Hi everyone.. I could use some wedding fashion advice. My wedding is next January and when I went looking for a dress I knew I wanted long sleeves. The long sleeved dresses I tried all seemed to fit my arms and shoulders weird and I wasn’t really a fan. I tried on this dress and fell absolutely in love. We bought it and it’s in my closet but now I’m trying to find ways to make my look a little more... winter. What are some ideas for warmth (though I do live in Texas) but also for that winter bride look?

I think it’s beautiful as is. But maybe a faux fur shall/cape? That way it can be removed?

I ADORE the wrap/shawl look for winter weddings, especially when they're like the ones below. They do hide some of the dress, but there's just a certain elegance to them... and they're much warmer!

You could wear a faux fur shawl like this Smiley smile I got mine on Etsy and wore it for most of the day for our winter wedding

I like the idea of a cape or shawl. could you maybe get lace sleeves added after the fact. I do agree a lot of the dresses I tried on with sleeves were very tight and I don't think of myself as someone having big arms lol. Or you can add maybe a long glove type thing

We are having a winter wedding as well! I went in wanting sleeves and they were all so uncomfortable and I couldn’t really move... my dress has a similar top and I’m thinking either a shawl or one of the fur coats. Not quite sure tho. Love to see what you come up with! Winter wedding... not winter dress 6

Same here! I’m in a strapless dress. The sleeves felt restricting. I’ll probably get some wintery shawl for my dress. Everything is indoors anyways except when we go out for pictures.

I’m getting married at the end of this month, and my dress isn’t wintery either! I have a strapless dress. I’m going to wear a faux fur stole outside for pictures. 😊

I did have half sleeves on my dress, but I bought a shawl for outdoor photos. I loved the look of these with both my dress and the bridesmaids dresses! I found these shawls on Etsy.

I'm in the same situation! March wedding without the "warm" dress!

I have a shawl that my great grandma received from my great grandpa so I'll be wearing that if I get cold! Luckily everything is indoors so we should be more than warm enough but if we do photos outside it could get a little chilly haha.
