Wine Bottle Centerpieces????

Mrs. Fornasty, on January 12, 2013 at 3:56 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 19

Wow long time no talk too! I miss you all at wedding wire, and I am so happy for all the brides to be! I am helping a co-worker with decorations for her wedding... no real theme other then like wine! So any input on wine bottle centerpieces, or pictures would be helpful!

I love the idea and was thinking of asking the lady who is helping me with my decor to utilize wine bottles, can't wait to see what people show you!

    I found this:

I personally would decorate around the battery pack to cover them if you used them on a table. Fabric, candles, etc.

Here's a great link that features the design you've asked about. You purchase the base and the lights (they're not regular Christmas lights so they won't get hot). They last for over 10,000 hours (not likely too outlast even the most lengthy of receptions, lol). The batteries are held in a nice wooden circular base, so no wires. I think they're priced right at $5.00/set-up (you provide the bottle...).

I like these, but I don't know how "wedding appropriate" they are. I guess it depends on the wedding.

I know those aren't wine bottles, but you could easily use wine bottles for it. Also, I've seen it where the glow stick is just splattered on the inside. I really like that too.

I thought the ones wrapped in yarn are really cute and different.

Lots of really great ideas for using wine bottles as centerpieces. I recently read on pinterest about opening up a glow stick and pouring it inside the empty bottle. I would definitely recommend trying it out first to see how it will look.

You could also use the bottle as a vase with some flowers and maybe wheat or babies breath?

What about putting a personalized label on the bottles in the center of the tables? We have a lot of examples of personalized wine labels on our website if you are interested.

She could also use a favorite wine bottle for the guests to sign instead of a sign in book. On the 1 year anniversary, drink the wine. The bottle can be used later as a vase or displayed on a shelf.

Let us know what she decides to do. Lots of possibilities.

Will the wedding be elegant, or casual?

There are many ways to incorporate wine items, without going overboard.

I myself am doing wine bottle centerpieces! But my wedding theme isn't so much wine. It is more of a rustic thing. I am using twine, burlap and bits of lace. If I can figure out how to get a photo on here I will. I have mixed matched bottles for my tables, some have twine, some have burlap some have nothing. It looks good imo.

Just thought of another idea. You could do wine glasses in different sizes and add candles or tea lights if the venue allows candles. Personalized labels with the couples photos on them are also a great idea and fairly inexpensive through our site. A very popular option is a photo from when the couple were babies.

This is the inspiration for our centerpieces. We will be using gerbera daisies for the flowers
