Will your father escort you down the aisle? Or are you ditching this tradition?

Are you staying traditional and walking down the aisle with your father? Will you mix up this tradition to include another family member? Or are you completely changing it up and walking down the aisle solo? Will your father walk you down the aisle or are you ditching this tradition? Photo from...

I guess you could say I am both ditching and doing this tradition.

My biological father and his family are not being told about the wedding.

My step father who adopted me when I was little, will walk me down the isle. My mother will either also walk me down the isle or meet us at the end and also "give me away"

My dad and step-dad will both walk me down, one on each arm. My sister and I decided years ago that we would both do this. She had them both walk her down last year at her wedding, and it was great!

I wish my father was alive, I would definitely walk with him. My son and only child, will walk with me. My fiance has asked that he wear his military dress uniform.

I would like to say I'm 100% sure I'm going to ditch this tradition. I've kept alot of out wedding center around my FH, his 4 children, and I becoming a family, we've already ditch the traditional wedding party, the 2 boys are going to be his grooms men, and the 2 girls are going to be my "bridesmaids". We are planning on just the girls and I walk together and my father and I aren't close, but I guess it depends on if I let obligation take over what I really want.

Yes he absolutely will walk me. I had a tiny wedding the first time in the officiants house...so there was no aisle to walk down. This time, my last wedding, I want my dad and I to have that walk.

Most definitely! I’m the baby of the family and I look up to my dad so much! I couldn’t think of any reason to ditch this!

What I would give to have my father walk me down the aisle but heaven is too far away. Smiley cry That said, I have asked my brother and he said yes as I can’t imagine anyone else filling those shoes. Smiley love

Absolutely. I am independent woman but that's a beautiful tradition that I won't ditched. It's not about being an object given away, it's about here's my daughter, love her as much as I do. That's just my opinion.

This is my second marriage. My husband passed away very young and we had children together. And this is my fiance's second marriage with no children. My parents walked me down the aisle the first time (RIP mom and dad), so now, my oldest son and my daughter (middle child) will walk me down the aisle and my youngest son will be my fiance's best man! Smiley smile

We are eloping for the ceremony, so not this time. When I was originally going to have a ceremony I was planning to have my oldest son do it since my dad already gave me away at my first wedding.
