A little back story, I attended a friend's wedding on the Carnival Liberty of the Seas ship, and I had a blast! I didn't want to go home. I thought everything went as planned. The food was delicious. She purchased the smallest package, but we all ate on the lido deck at the buffet for free. I don't know exactly what occurs on the bride and grooms end, as I was only a guest, so I definitely would like to hear thoughts and experiences on that end. They supplied their own music, I think we are going the DJ route. It was open bar. From the details that I recall from her wedding, I don't remember seeing the photographer around at all. I thought the ceremony was beautiful, the bouquet that came with the package was small, and basic. We had the ceremony in one room, and then migrated to the reception hall, where we were met with more food, an ice sculpture, open bar, and a dance floor. The bride and groom entered and had their first dance, and then the floor was opened to guests. She did a bouquet toss and I don't recall a garter toss. Her reception only lasted about an hour, we are going with the bigger package for an hour and a half.
I'd love to hear more stories, and if your story is similar to my experience, or in any way different. I am really interested about that Lido deck thing though, I am not sure if that was a fluke, or if it is that way for everyone. I have a few guests with medical/ health related issues that will definitely need to eat lunch...
