Will you lose weight before the wedding? Whats your goal?

I was inspired by another post where the bride lost 30lbs!!! Very commendable. I plan to loose 30 lbs by August 2016! I have a gym at work and from 12-12:45 they have classes everyday. Some cycle and bootcamp classes. I am also thinking about signing up with a trainer for a session on Saturdays or Sundays. I bought the 21 day fix but did not last 21 days. I'm thinking of adding that to my exercise regiment. How much do you want to loose? How do you plan to do it?

@Samantha 50 pounds is awesome! Congrats!!! Slow and steady wins the race!

@FutureMrsBrbr Its great you have set goals for yourself! I have 21 day fix also. I am going to start working it back into my workout schedule. I went to a Kazaxe dance workout last night it was one of the hardest and most fun workouts I have ever done so I think I'm going to stick with it!

50 if I can -- 30 is the goal though. I have been using this idea I got on pinterest. It actually helps you look at it at a bigger perspective. Way to go ladies!! Losing weight is NOT easy. I have gone up and down my whole life.

I'm not planning to lose any weight. I'm just (trying) to work out more and eat healthier. Since I'm lifting weights, I likely will gain weight since muscle weighs more than fat. Weight is just a number Smiley smile

@Courtney CtoS thats very true. I'm going to stick to measurements and seeing how many inches I can loose around my waist, hips, arms, and thighs!!!

I told myself I would, but I didn't and I'm completely okay with that.

I've lost 15 and have 25 to go before final fittings in late June early July. I put on 6 when FH was here visiting for two weeks -- man I ate like every meal was my last during that time! As of this morning, I've lost all that I put on. Now onto that last 25!

My goal was to get healthy first and foremost and with that fit into my dress that I ordered a few sizes smaller and mission accomplished. I fit in my dress, I'm down major pounds and my total cholesterol is down 100 points. Now I am walking about 2 miles a day and just eating healthy to maintain. You can do whatever you set your mind to. I think that is the key - you mentally have to want to do it. When you're ready it will happen, otherwise it's just talking the talk and not walking the walk. If you truly want to you will arrive at your destination.

I lost about twenty during the last three weeks before the wedding. No carbs. Drink only water. Eat every three hours. "Clean" foods. It was hard but easy at the same time. Completely safe. Totally worth it!

I'd love to lose 25 but I know I'll be happy with 15. I started trying in August and am only down 5. Grrr. I did 21 day fix for two rounds. I was more toned and felt pretty good but I didn't lose an ounce! Nor did I lose an inch! So instead of focusing on exercise I'm just worrying about my calorie intake. I'm eating 1200 calories a day and FINALLY losing a little. For me, losing is all about watching my calories. Exercising really doesn't make me smaller. It stinks because I'd rather eat what I want and work out. Yet, exercise does help me maintain my weight. So once(if) I hit my goal I'll then focus on exercise and allow myself to eat more.

@cakewalk82 I always feel like the smaller you are the harder it is to lose weight. I also have 21 day fix but I have not completed the program yet. I love how they promise 10 pounds in 21 days but it doesn't work that way for everyone.

I would love to lose about 40-50 pounds

that is my target though i am breaking it up into about ten pound goals at a time so i dont get overwhelmed. but i still have a year to go so i have plenty of time as long as i stick with it !

I would like to, but probably won't consciously try. I am currently a healthy weight and although it would be nice to look extra slim in my gown, I don't think it's worth the pressure to keep the weight I lose off.

I'm looking to lose about 2"on my hips and 2-3"on my waist. So far, I've lost 1"on my hips and 1"on my waist. All told, about 4 lbs. I'm lifting heavy, so the scale won't reflect much, but the inches will. My dress has a drop waist, and it's a little snug around the hips (those darn child-bearing hips!). The seamstress says she can let it out. I take it as a challenge to get smaller! It's not as easy as it was during my 20's and 30's, unfortunately. My sit down job doesn't help much either.

@Linda Sit down jobs make it so hard to stay active. I'm tempted to request a standing desk or just raise my computer and stand behind it.
