Will you be our officiant gift?

Haley, on December 17, 2019 at 9:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
My fiancé and I plan to ask my uncle to be our officiant. I want to ask him by giving him a gift. What would be a good gift to as someone to be your officiant? (:

Most vendors prefer cash. But for an uncle? Maybe a gift card and a nice bottle of wine?

Welcome to the community Haley! It’s so sweet that you are planning on asking your uncle to perform your ceremony! Has he officiated any wedding in the past?

Since he is a family member, a gift would be a lovely gesture. What are his interests? You should buy him something that you know he will like and that will have meaning to him. Does he have a favorite restaurant that you could buy him a gift card for?

I think words here will matter most. He's your uncle so let him know how much he means to the both of you along with his faith and honor being a determining factor. I think he'll be more than ecstatic to marry his neice.

Our officiant is a friend of mine - I bought him the largest bottle of Jack Daniels I found because he didn't want money.
