Wig for wedding hair?

Sggonza12, on July 12, 2023 at 9:53 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4
Hey y’all! I’m heavily considering using a wig for my wedding because 1) my hair doesn’t typically hold a curl so I’m worried the style won’t last and I feel like the wig would maintain the style, 2) I’ve fine/thin, straight Asian hair so I like the idea of adding volume with a wig

I’m wanting a Hollywood waves style but not confident in a hair stylist in my area that can properly execute this (I’ve researched plenty and not happy with results they’ve shared).
Would a wig be weird? Should I just look into extensions instead? I’ve never worn a wig before so not sure where to go from here in terms of type and install either.

I would have to really really hate my hair before I wore a wig on my wedding day. I would try every other possibility before I considered a wig. Nonetheless, do what you feel is right for you!

A wig wouldn’t be weird at all! I know multiple women who wear them regularly in their daily lives so they can switch up the color or style. I would probably hesitate to wear a long, heavy wig if you were getting married outside during the summer (hot, sweaty, humid, itchy), but it looks as though you are getting married in November, so hot weather shouldn’t be an issue. I would suggest getting one asap and practicing with it to make sure it will hold the style you want and that you find it comfortable enough to wear all day/night

I’ve never worn a wig but lots of women do so I don’t see it as weird at all. My hair is very thin also and doesn’t hold a curl. I wanted thicker, longer hair for my wedding so I did sew in extensions. My sister though did clip ins as my MOH. I did sew in so I knew they weren’t going anywhere (although I’d clipped in right shouldn’t go anywhere but I wanted to be doubly sure) but it’s definitely more time and money

Not weird at all. Just be sure you give yourself time to find the right one and wear it out and about a few times to ensure you really love it.
