Who's wear stockings or pantyhose under wedding dress

Tluv914@Yahoo.com, on May 12, 2021 at 12:31 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
I'm wearing these special kind of stockings called Sheertex Nude Sheer Tights I ordered online for 89.10 sale price under my wedding dress with open toe shoes, these are stockings that dont rip or tear, pretty much unbreakable and are suppose to last, I'm hoping that these stockings dont rip or tear when putting them on, I hope these stockings look good with wearing my shoes, and I'm hoping that people would not be able to tell that I'm wearing stockings, like bare, so my question is would you wear stockings under your dress with open toe shoes, and does anyone on here own a pair and do the last a long time

$89 for some stockings?! That's crazy expensive. I didn't wear stocking or pantyhose. Honestly, I think the last time I wore stockings was when I was like 10. Why do you want stockings under your dress? If it's for the control top, you can get shapewear on its own-more effective than stockings and no ripping.

Because of my toes, I hate my toes, there ugly, and I have wide feet, my shoe are in wide width, but my feet still hurt, so I thought the stocking would help my feet, so it wont hurt too much, I do know that these stocking are expensive, I wasn't going to order them at first, I hope these stockings last awhile for that price, I agree with you 100% that they do cost too much, thank you for responding back

Is your dress long? If it is, no one's going to be able to tell *what* you're wearing under your dress. If it's not, then I question wearing pantyhose with open-toed shoes - because you're definitely going to be able to tell. If you hate your toes and your feet hurt in your shoes, honestly, I might change the shoes to something more comfortable - because you're going to be in them a LONG time.

I want those...they had some black backseam ones and I commented on their IG asking if they were going to make a line of flesh toned backseam ones and they said they were planning to - so I’m hoping for that.

I have spent a ton on stockings before and so see it as a frivolous luxury but one I’ll budget for.
There is also a brand of stockings call Wolford that are pricey but excellent. Don’t fall down the rabbit hole of spendy stockings, you may regret it LOL

These are my first pair of expensive stockings, I do hate those cheap stockings that rip or tear easily.

I am REALLY hard on stockings and I don’t know why. I just seem to go through them like crazy!
My wedding is 2022 so I’m going to order some sheertex this fall for a trial and see if they are comfy.

Most people don't wear stockings or pantyhose anymore. Also, they are not needed in the summer (you will probably get incredibly hot in them) and typically shouldn't be worn with open toed shoes. If you don't want your toes to be seen, just wear close toed shoes.

Maybe you could put a gel slip or something in your shoes to help the hurting?

I didn't wear them for my wedding, but I also just overheat really easily and don't like them to begin with. I wouldn't suggest wearing them with open-toed shoes though.

For wedding I wore a combo of stockings and tummy control spanx thing. For party it disappeared so mom had this tummy control and stockings and it worked. Dress was long and no one could see under it.

My wedding is supposed to be an average temp of 16C (60s) in an alpine area so it gets VERY cold as soon as the light goes. I wanted a dress with sleeves but couldn't get one, so yes, I am wearing stockings! It won't really matter for me, since my skirt is huge and will have a bunch of tulle underneath, so no one will see anything, but still.

I went with these Wolford brand ones which have a contrasting trim. They are stay ups, but I do have a garter belt I can use for extra support, if needed.

1st- I used to work for a company who worked on the branding for Sheertex. they're SUPPOSED to never tear so I hope you get your money's worth!

2nd- I hadn't even thought about wearing stocking but now I'm thinking about it if I end up going with my current top choice wedding dress which has a huge slit on one side. I have a lot of scars on my legs from falling/being a clutz while trail running and that might be a solution to fading them out a little - so THANK YOU for the idea Smiley laugh
