Who was the first person you told about your engagement?

My mom! FH proposed on a hike, so on the drive back to town I was alternative between staring at my ring and starting the bars on my cell phone because I was so excited to tell her. My FH has called her to ask for her permission beforehand so she technically knew before me

My parents. I called them basically as soon as we got home. Then I texted a picture of my ring to the group chat of my friends.

We happened to be going to a family party (on his side) the next day, so a lot of his family found out then.

My mom, then his parents, then a HUGE group of my friends!

The first person we told, is my identical twin, because she is the first person I tell everything to. It's a sign of how well FH knows me, that he knew I'd want her to be the first person to know. She got married in 2017, and I was the first person she told when she got engaged, that's how it's always worked between us.

Both sets of parents were the next to be told, then siblings, and then grandparents.

Two of my closest friends. I had to tell someone immediately and then told my Mom in person...even though she knew already since my FH had reached out to her to ask for her blessing.

My parents. My fiancée and I were on holiday in China, and I took her to one of the best restaurants in Beijing to propose. I called up my parents the next morning under the pretence of telling them about the amazing meal, when I told them what made the meal particularly memorable.

Mum and Dad also insisted on reimbursing me for the quite pricy meal as an engagement gift, which was very sweet of them. Money goes fast on holiday, so it was deeply appreciated!

My mom because seconds after I got a call to go to the hospital. She was faking another heart attack. All she said was he could have bought a better ring. (I choose my ring). May she rot in California.

I honestly can't even remember, because he woke me up in the middle of the night after we came home from work and asked then and there, because he just couldn't wait til morning I want to say I texted my best friend because I knew she would still be up and then told my parents and everyone else the next day.

I facetimed my grandmother (well, my sister because my grandma can't even text) right after.

We called my parents first, then my sister who was ultimately my Maid of Honor, and then my husband's parents
