Who was the first person you told about your engagement?

Our parents and my brother were ALL in the know about our engagement before it even happened - my FH had planned everything out and needed everyone's help (plus he had asked my parents and brother for their permission to marry me in the first place ).

So, technically they all knew first, but other than that, the first person we called was his Aunt who he has a super special relationship with, and who was there to see him off on our road trip as he moved across the country just prior to us getting engaged.

We had a group chat going with all of our family because we were buying a house, so a whole bunch of my family found out first: mom, dad, step mom, and a few aunts and uncles!

The first person who we told that we were engaged was the two people who introduced us to one another.

Well my best friend was flown in for it, so she knew... then I spent an hour trying to call my Mom and Sister (West Coast calling the East Coast late that night so it was a struggle) - So I think it was my Sister who I got on the phone first. But he proposed in a very public place so TONS of people were there and saw and then it was all over social media before I could tell anyone LOL

We were on a family vacation with my parents and brother when he did it so they all already knew. He also told several of his friends, his parents, and grandparents beforehand so a lot of people knew. He proposed during a dinner that just the two of us went to but I didn't call my mom because I knew my parents were going to be picking us up after dinner and my mom still gave me a hard time for not calling her. I called two of my best friends at dinner while he called a couple people and then we enjoyed the rest of the dinner without phones!

My grandma. My FH proposed during our trip to Korea, and she was the first person to know. It was so special because I don't get to see her often, and I was so happy to share the news with her first.

Well since he did it in front of my friends and family at my baby shower, all of them. Unless you count all the friends and family he had at his dad-shower the night before whom he had told and shown the ring off to.

I idn’t want to tell anyone for a while though...I wanted to save the moment and have it be about us.

My FH and I both called our best friends at the same time- to their dismay it was 6:30 am but we were happy to tell them first!
