Who was the first person you shared the engagement news with?

He proposed at our son's 2nd birthday/gender reveal party so both our families and friends were there to witness! Three celebrations in one lol. By the time I got home the news and pictures were all over social media so I didn't have anybody left to tell lol! Memory of that day still makes me tear up.

We made the choice together so I didn't have a proposal. We did decide we wanted to have fun announcing it though.
We had our parents over for dinner and told them all at once. Our friends knew we were planning a surprise and they all guessed the day before. A lot of our friends had been asking probing questions for about six months, so they knew it was coming.

His mother and step father were actually at the beach with us when he proposed to me, so they were the first to know.

He proposed in front of my entire family at my 25th birthday party. So right after that we celebrated and then went to his families house and shared with them. After that it was my best friend at the time.

Everyone knew he was doing it but I told my mother!

I had three people who knew I was proposing that day. My parents and the man who became our officiant. He kept texting me throughout the meal "Hide the ring in the food!" "Put it on the Roomba!" So he got to be the first to find out.

Both of our immediate families and his two best friends were there! Besides that my grandparents!

A few of his friends knew he was going to ask, but my mom was the first to know after he asked.

A mutual friend of ours at work, we then told my family at Christmas.

My children were part of the engagement they helped him

My dad and together we webcammed the rest or our family as they were on a trip elsewhere. I wanted us to tell our families before our friends and other people.

My fiancé did it on Facebook Live so I didn’t even have to message anyone, everyone messaged me instead

FH proposed, I said yes, and then as I was standing in the living room, hyperventilating, he asks me if I like my ring. To which I respond "I HAVE TO CALL MY MOM!"

Needless to say, Mom was the first person we called.

His parents! We live right next door to them. After that, we drove to my parents and surprisingly met my brother in the driveway. I asked him if he'd like to have another "brother" to which he gave me the biggest bear hug! My parents were very excited too!

Technically; his sister, brother-in-law, sister-in-law & one of our friends because they were in the room when he proposed but after that we told my parents first.

My little sister it was crazy cause we had just been talking about it weeks prior... So she had to be the first one

We were at his apartment and it was 9 at night. I didnt want to tell my mom over the phone but she was already asleep so I told my best friend first since she lives states away and I couldn't tell her in person. But my mom was the next morning
