Who is your flower girl going to match?

All the weddings I've been to, the flower girl has worn white/ivory to match the bride, with possibly a little pop of color added. The bridal salon where I bought my gown told me that no one is supposed to match the bride, flower girl included. So I googled it, and it seems some people match the FG...

So I googled it, and it seems some people match the FG to the bride and others to the bridesmaids. I'm just wondering what everyone else is doing?

My flower girl isn't really going to match anyone (except maybe me, because of the color) - she's wearing her First Communion dress from a couple months ago, which is white and kinda ruffly on the skirt. I'm not picky at all so I have no problem with this.

My two nieces (FG and JR BM) were in between matching me and the bridesmaids. My dress was ivory. Bridesmaids were in blush. The JR BM was in an all ivory dress, with a blush sash and the FG was in a dress with an ivory bodice and blush/ivory tulle skirt. I let them sort of pick what they wanted-Within reason of matching the general concept of wedding, age appropriate and in price range- so they were both happy.

Do whatever you want with their attire! I've seen them in the same colors as bridesmaids, in a different but accenting color and matching the bride! anything goes.

I personally think it's weird when they match. I think it's cuter if they match the bridesmaids, and it's more likely that the parents can use the dress again if it doesn't look like a wedding dress!

My 2 cousins are matching me and the my niece is matching the bridesmaids. My cousins are wearing ivory and my niece is in amethyst. She will only be 6 months old then and being pulled in a wagon dressed in ivory throws so I wanted her in a color!

I don't think there is a universally accepted rule here. No one is going to see a flower girl in white/ivory and mistake her for the bride, so I think you're safe to have the flower girl in a white dress if that's what you want.

I've even seen huge bridal parties where all the bridesmaids are wearing white. That would not be my choice, but your wedding is yours.

My FH is wearing white. Her basket has navy ribbon to match the wedding and she'll have a wreath of flowers in her hair with navy ribbon down the back.

My flower girl is wearing our secondary color. Bridesmaids are in different shades of sage green and the flower girl is a blush pink. My dress is ivory. The petals are also blush pink and we will be having pink and sage green table decor

Our colors are cream, dusty blue, and blush rose.

I'm wearing white, bridesmaids are in dusty blue, and our flower girl will be wearing rose.

Here's my flower girls. They're dresses are different styles, but my seamstress added the green flowers to match our colors and give them a common element

Our FG matches the bridesmaids more than me. Actually, she matches some of the bridesmaids, because they are mismatched. BM dresses are sparkly navy, dusty blue, dusty pink, or champagne. FG dress is champagne with sequins on the top. My dress is ivory and light gold, though, so she also sort of matches me.

I don't like the exact replica mini bride thing but I do think the white/ivory is adorable and that's what we're doing. So it's white and lacy like mine without being an exact replica.

Our ring bearer is basically matching the groomsmen

We did both the bride and bridesmaids with both the white and the blue. I thought the girls looked gorgeous.

My dress was a lace ivory fit and flare, and my bridesmaids were in long lavender chiffon gowns. The flower girls wore ivory tank style organza dresses with little lavender sashes. So cute! Everything went together so well.

I have five flower girls...Yikes! All of my little loves are wearing this dress:

it's super soft and comfortable for them to run around in! I will team it with blush flower crowns to match my bridesmaids!

Mine are going to be in light pink. My bridesmaids are wearing wine Smiley smile I figured it would be easier than matching my dress since they live in another state.
