Hi Caitlin! Wow, that's awesome! You have guests coming from not just around the country but across the globe, too! Smiley heart

Does your family originate from the Netherlands/Canada? and if so, will you be including any special rituals/traditions into your wedding day?

If he RSVPs (we haven't sent invitations yet), my brother's best friend will be coming from Germany. If he doesn't come, it will be my FH's friends from Canada. They already said they would come.

This makes me a little sad because I did invite a lot of out of town family, and only a very small few are coming. I always thought they'd move mountains to come to mine, because I would/have for theirs. So the furthest we have people coming from are from Georgia, South Carolina, and Chicago.

Hi Maren! Yes we originate from the Netherlands/Canada! My first citizenship is in Canada and now I have my dual Canadian/US. No special rituals but my mom is First generation Canadian (her parents are from the Netherlands) so she wants the wedding to be fancy/upscale because there are so many people coming from Europe and Canada. The usual things for her are like fine china, everyone is to dress very formal, imported liquor for the out of towners. Nothing ritualistic but just a very formal wedding rather than casual! Comes from our Dutch roots haha. On the other hand, my FH's family is very casual so they are just going with it and adjusting to my side lol.

That would have to be us, my parents, cousin aunt and uncle lol. We all live in OH and going to Vegas. FH's family all live on the west coast so they are much closer to the venue.

My hub's aunt came all the way from India (to NY and Puerto Rico for wedding). He also had guests from Germany, UK, and other parts of the USA. My furthest was from FL.

Some of our family is in CA and we are in VT. So they are travelling the farthest. However, most of our family will have to fly into VT for our wedding
