Who Is The "breadwinner" In Your Relationship/ Marriage?

The Bride, on July 18, 2019 at 5:19 PM

A “breadwinner” is a person who makes the most money in a household and is most likely to pay the bills for the family. Who is the "breadwinner" in your relationship/marriage? Is he/she paying for the wedding? Do you believe a specific gender should be the "breadwinner"? Why or why not?

Extravagant vacations will be based on how the honeymoon trip goes! That will be his first time on a plane.

My fiancé is the breadwinner. He has become a Very high end trial lawyer, who other lawyers go to when they can’t do a case/it’s too hard/complicated.

I'm super grateful for the help! I just wish she would do it without complaining and talking down about how my family is or isn't helping with the wedding...she also has said that I "expect" her to pay for this and that, when I've never asked them to help financially. They offered. So it's not that I'm ungrateful for the help and hope it's not seen that way, it's attitude and judgement that makes me want to pull my hair out.

We both are I would say. He has the more consistent job though because I am a realtor and occasionally work my correctional officer job. We have a house together and currently we don't have our funds put together yet (that is in the works) so we have been splitting everything evenly. I don't believe that a certain gender should be the breadwinner. My fiance and I just have a deal that who ever is making the most by the time we have children will be the stay at home parent.

Shouldn't the person making the least amount of money be the stay at home parent so the "breadwinner" can finance the home?
