Update! Just changed my theme from 1920s to celestial themed. Will still be keeping some of the art deco inspiration and decor and maybe have a flapperish reception dress. Still haven't found a photographer that me and FH can agree on, which is beginning to bother me, but we still have time. Picked out bridesmaids and flower girl dresses and planning my "finally getting married" party! We've been engaged for over 4 years so an engagement party seems to be past the time frame. Just the family and close friends so that we can finally feel like an engaged couple I guess. So excited only less than 14 months away!!!
I'm Taelor, and we're getting married at May, in the Vines Mansion in Loganville, Georgia! We are interviewing photographers now to find the best fit for us, and soon we'll have our long-awaited engagement party when it warms up this Spring.

We went with JB Marie Photography. She’s based out of bluffton but is from the Atlanta are. I am obsessed with her and her work. Check her out!
Jasmyn. Anywhere between August & October. Northern Illinois.
I have ceremony site in mind, but not secured. I'm friends with the coordinator, so we can negotiate dates and price once we get closer and I have money to pay in full for discounts. Once I book the venue a year out, I'll look into photography, videographer, reception, dj and officiant (in that order.)
Wedding is May 23, 2020. I’ve booked my venue, videographer, photographer, and Photobooth. I’m hoping to do foodtasting and cake tasting in Jan or Feb. This might seem ridiculous but I have a lot of anxiety around booking vendors and being able to pay everything off, so I really tried hard to book things before the end of the year. Any of y’all experiencing the same things?

Hi Vio! I felt the same way too! I booked the venue, photographer, and DJ. We’re not doing a wedding video or photobooth. Initially, I was going to wait until 2019 to look for photographers but then I realized that prices will increase in 2019 so I booked my favorite! We have a budget set already so we had an idea on what everything should cost and already saved up 50% of our budget. Good luck with your planning!

Hi Vanessa! Yes same here I booked my venue at the tail end of 2018 so they said they would have to apply the 2019 prices to our overall expense. My venue requires us to contract them for big item things such as catering and beverages.
My bff is getting married next year and was able to refer a lot of vendors that they contracted. I was blown away at how much the prices increased by. She booked her photographer earlier this year whereas I booked him last month, his price increased by $800!
In any case I figured booking this year would be better than any increases that are sure to occur next year. 😩 good luck with your planning!!! It’s exciting and stressful at the same time 😂
Hi everyone! My name is Megan! My fiancé and I are getting married September 12, 2020 in Pennsylvania! We have our venue, photographer, and DJ/Photobooth! We’re starting on our guest list sometime soon!
