Yay, date twin! We've booked the venue and decided on the bridal party for the most part (I haven't asked many yet). We also have our officiant, since it will be my uncle. Other than that, we're still in the early stages. I've started looking at photographers but it feels really overwhelming.

We are booking our venues this weekend (we fell in love with the chapel and the reception area at first sight) and have booked our DJ and our photographer - however, our photographer is a family friend and then my great aunt!

Next on my list is to just simply enjoy being engaged for the next 6 months and then pick the planning back up into full gear at the end of this year. Our colors are charcoal gray and burgundy so I'll be hitting the sales at craft stores after Halloween to get gray themed items and then after Christmas time to get my burgundy!!

Date twin! We're in California and will probably also just nail down the big vendors/venues later this year. Currently narrowing down all the venue choices and saving money!

My name is Juliana. We are planning on getting married sometime February 2020 in Miami, Fl. My fiancé has this idea now of getting married February 29,2020 which is a leap year. Lol what do you guys think? We're in the process of looking at venues and hopefully have one by the end of July.

View Quoted Comment Mine is going to be 2/29/20. FH liked that day because it was unique and different. I oringinally wanted a december wedding, but then I realized it might be difficult for guest with the holidays, and hotels would be priced higher. I get looks when I tell people that were doing it on that day, and my mom (who is very opinionated) was kinda annoyed by the idea, but I see it as a day that stands out, and then we would have a reason to go all out and do something extra special every 4 years and we can always do a dinner or something on March 1st when it's not leap year.

I'm Sam my fiance's name is Doug. Got engaged last week and we plan to have our wedding either October/November of 2020 depending on if venues have October as in season or out of season. We really hope to do October.

I'm Marie! I just got engaged a few days ago so we haven't had much time to plan, but I'm looking at January 2020 in Fort Worth, TX. I'm already super excited about planning and am trying to reign myself in because it's still a ways away (I want to ask my friends to be bridesmaids so bad, but I thought, and am seeing on here, that I should probably wait a few months). It's definitely hard to stop thinking about everything though haha.

We decided to have our date as 02/29/20. His mom at first was skeptical but then grew on it. A lot of our friends actually liked the idea of having a unique date!

Lisa, we plan on March 2020. Looking at Bed & Breakfast venues in the beaches (or close to) in the East coast of Florida. Have one we love, going with my mother to speak to the coordinator in September.

We originally felt odd booking so far out, but the coordinator at our venue recently told us that they get weekly calls wanting to book 10/10/2020, so I’m SO glad we did! We have our venue booked (which includes our wonderful caterer, bar manager, and day-of coordinator), as well as our DJ. I’m huge on photography, so I’ve been trying to meet with photographers, but most say they’re not booking yet

We booked a few months ago now, and I'm so glad we did! My best friend just got engaged and her dream venue is already completely booked for 2019. So booking 2 years in advance is so smart!
