You can get a DOC and pay them extra to come early to decorate. Sometimes even the venue has staff or knows of people you can hire.

You can def hire people, but I think it can get expensive. If it's in your budget, more power to ya! I had a guy offer to do mine for $700...it was very vague and just a comment made while discussing it. Not sure what it actually included haha. I paid the extra $150 to rent our room the day prior and my mom, FMIL, sisters, and FSIL are prob going to help me.

Our venue is more of a community center so they don't offer those kind of services. I just don't want my family doing anything.

I should add that for us, FIL's are doing it. I wanted to hire a DOC, but they said they were happy to do it and save us the money.

Talk to the community center and ask if they know of anyone - I'm sure they deal with weddings all the time. DOC is another option.

We'll have access to our venue as early as the Thursday before. Friday my mom, my MOH and I will probably do it.

Look up DOCs or even talk to your caterers.

We had the same thing. Did not want our family doing it. We contacted DOCs who all did this, and it would have been about $500 or so. We then found out that the company we hired to do our serving would be able to do it, and so we are having them do it.

Just ask around- your vendors should know who can help you out!

FH and I are doing it right after rehearsal dinner on Friday night. We aren't asking anyone to help, although I'm sure friends and family members will probably volunteer. For every wedding I've been in, the bridal party and families helped the bride & groom decorate, usually the day before the wedding.

My cousin hired a DOC but only to do the decorating. She didn't need the DOC after that Smiley smile

My mom and coordinator is doing it all. Our venue will but I dont trust them enough to decorate lol. I'm a perfectionist....what can I say. And my mom knows EXACTLY what I want =)

We have a DOC and at the rehearsal, we bring all of our stuff and itll be done when we get there the day of the wedding! i like that i dont have t stress (as much) before the wedding and they do beautiful work. our DOC is also co-owners of their planning business with the florist so that will help with the decor etc

We have a DOC - but she's so much more than that. I couldn't imagine throwing this shindig with out her.

My SIL is going to do it. We don't get along super well (better int he last year or so) but she'll be at the wedding since she is my bro's wife. I trust her judgement and I know she'll do a good job. Her son is the ring bearer and her other boy is helping to usher so they'll be there early anyway. (Ceremony and reception are at the same venue).

Our venue and other vendors are doing most of it. My MOH, FMIL, and a few other girls are heading to the venue that morning to put final touches on everything and put our DIY signs up, etc,

Are you using a florist? Ask your florist if this is something she can do. Or if you are having a DOC, that should be included in her/his day of services. OR, look for an event staffing company in your area.

Highly recommended putting this in the budget. Check with your venue, they may already have someone or can provide a list

For ceremony we hired a DOC - she made sure all the vendors arrived on time, she assisted me, and she decorated/set everything up. She also cleaned up afterwards. It was amazing. For the reception - the restaurant had an event coordinator so they set everything up. My florist did centerpieces when she arrived. MOH took care of small details.
