Who had cute ‘getting ready’ outfits??

Christina, on October 12, 2015 at 4:02 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

As a bridesmaid, I’ve never actually had a ‘getting ready’ outfit gifted to me by the bride, but I’ve definitely see them a lot!

Who did them ~ and what did they look like??

So cute! I'm getting my girls button down shirts like the pic above. I will get my self a purple shirt with white writing and the BM will be in white shirt with purple writing can't wait to see how it turns out!

As a BM I've gotten a similar robe as above. I will be getting my BM and FG the button down shirts. Since it will be October and we are going to a salon to get our hair and MU done, they can wear the comfy warm shirts!

Honestly, I let this one slip and ended up just buying the girls v-necks from target and having them monogrammed in sparkly gold on one side. They were easy to take off and cheap. I just didn't have the extra $200-$300 left that it would have costed to execute the cute floral robes or monogrammed button downs for 6 girls. I had them all wear black leggings for us to at least match.

I didn't want to buy anything that would probably be only worn once, so I just asked them to wear button down plaid shirts. I love how it turned out. Smiley smile

I though my outfit was pretty cute. I didn't have bridesmaids, but if I did, I would have gotten them some other art nouveau lady shirts by the same artist (Karen Hallion).

My sister has reddish-brown hair and a round face, so she could have been Amy Pond.

I don't have any pics from the day yet, but this is what I wore. I forgot to pack a top to wear home so I ended up wearing it to breakfast the next day too haha. Got a lot of compliments.

I decided not to do anything for the girls because most of them aren't very girly and I don't think would have appreciated it.

I kind of really want to do this, but I want something that I know they will use after the wedding. So I don't know if I want to do the silky floral robes. I have 2 I got in Japan, and still never wear them.

With what everyone says about how comfortable they are, I kind of want to do the waffled stitched robes. But are they as cute as the silky robes? I don't know what to do!

I considered it, but it was just going to be such a large amount of money (even for only 2 girls plus me) that I just couldn't justify it. I asked my girls to wear their favorite PJs but neither did. My whole getting ready time was actually a pretty big let down. I thought we would hang out and enjoy ourselves (heck, we had several hours and there were only a couple of us) but everyone was running around like chickens with their heads cut off and my dad kept yelling "We have to go NOW!! There will already be guests there!!" Yeah, I didn't care but he was freaked about it. I don't have any pics at all of us getting ready and that was really important to me.

We did and everyone loves their robe. I also got everyone lightweight jackets with their monograms on them which we wore around the suite the night before and before the professionals came.

Ugh I've gotten one as a bridesmaid gift and have never worn it again. I think they are fine for pictures, but I don't think they should replace the bridesmaid gift. They are essentially a prop for getting ready pictures.

I'm doing the robes as well. I got them all purple "waffle-weave" robes with their names on them and I will have a matching white one. I'm just going to suggest they all wear maybe a tank and some leggings under it since they aren't super long and it'll likely be chilly in January. I hope they like them and would use them again...I know I would! It isn't their only gift though...they are getting a whole swag bag full of stuff Smiley smile

I stuck with my hawaiian theme and got everyone a sarong. They can also wear them as scarves in the winter too!! My shirt also said "Bride"

I really want to get those robes, since they are really cute. But none of my girls is really girly, so I'm a bit worried about it. I might go with the button downs after all.
