Who generally Does the toast/speeches?

I knw the best man and MOH usually say something, but is there anyone else that makes a speech? or do i just kinda ask ppl closest to us? little unsure

    I think TRADITIONALLY it's just the Best Man. And parents would have made speeches during the rehearsal dinner.

    These days it's normal to see the Best Man and MOH make speeches, as well as possibly parents, and a Thank You from the Bride and Groom during speech time.

    But, there is nothing set in stone. I wouldn't suggest opening it up to the general floor, but feel free to ask the people closest to you who you think might have something they want to say!

    Jessica has said it all! Our parents won't be giving speeches though since they aren't paying for it. We will be giving the thank you speech instead.

    FOB, MOH and BM. I've heard of the groom making a speech as well. I made one as just a bridesmaid before. Do what feels right for you! I wouldn't have more than 4 or 5 though.

    Best man & maid of honor are doing their speeches, and FH and I are saying thank you. Don't know if it goes like, that but that's what we're doing.

    My mother gave a welcome speech, then my hubbys uncle did the prayer and then the best man and MOH
