Who else is in a ldr while planning their wedding?

Jazmin, on October 30, 2018 at 4:42 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 20

My partner and I have been together for 3 years, from which we've been in a long distance relationship for 1 year and 9 months now (he's in the US and I'm in the DR). We see each other every 3 months, but this time I haven't seen him since the end of June this year. He has been very helpful but we're just tired of being apart. He is going to visit me in December and spend Christmas here and that'll be our last time together before the wedding. Who else is on a LDR? Where are you and your SO living?

Me and my FH are in a long distance relationship. I am NYC and he is VA. We see each other about once a month . I will be relocating to Virginia after the wedding.

We were in a LDR for about a year (6 months before the engagement and 6 months after), he was in CA and I was in FL. I didn't see him for months at a time, and now that he's out here in FL, he travels to Asia for work all the time. My dogs and DIY are the best distractions for me!

We used to live together but now I am finishing my degree in another state. We're planning everything long distance over a long period of time so hopefully we can do some in person together.

FH and I were in a LDR for two years while I was in New York finishing school and he was here in Florida seeing each other every six months. Now although we live in the same State, he lives in another town about an hour and a half away which is where I'll be moving to after the wedding and our wedding is taking place on his side of town while I plan everything from my current location.

Oh yeah. We use google sheets for planning together. Maybe that can help you too.

We've been LDR nearly three years I saw him early this month and before that I saw him early July. We get married in less than two months. He's been very helpful and so has his family but I'm so ready for it to be over lol I'm in Texas and he's in North Carolina

We were for a long time! We lived about two hours apart while we were in college, and then I moved to England for a year while he was still in California. He proposed just before I left so we did do some long distance planning and booked most of our vendors while I was away. I just finally moved in with him for good about a month ago and it's so nice!

We were in LDR for about 2.5 years before I finally moved. We tried to see each other every 3 months too, it’s just so much money and difficult to take time off. He was in Scotland, I was in Boston, now we’re both in Scotland. We got engaged a few months after I moved because the time was finally right for us. Stay strong, LDRs can be so tough but worth it in the end!

    Aww so romantic!!! That's awesome.

We've lived together for 3 months total. 1 month before I went home after living in the US for 2 years and 2 months this year. He proposed while we were living together this last time and got married 1 week afterwards. Then I left 10 days after we got married and we have been planning our ceremony in my country ever since. Those 2 months living together were perfect, I can't wait to live my whole life with this man.

We weren’t technically in a LDR but H is a truck driver and was regional until a year ago so I’d only see him for about 24 hours a week. Sometimes longer if he’d get stuck on the road we are so glad he’s local now. Good luck you are almost there!!!

My partner and I spent our first two years and change with me in Australia and her in America. That included the first 8 months of our engagement, though the wedding planning didn't begin in earnest until she'd settled in here. It's hard when you can't visit the same venues, talk with the same vendors, or scout out the same decor.

The distance was tough, but it was so worth it in the end. For the right person, it is always worth it. Stay strong! You can do it!

We are not while wedding planning but we were the first 3 years of our relationship from Colorado to Minnesota. He’s also applied to 3 out of state jobs since we started planning the wedding and it was stressful knowing he could move. Is there an end in sight for your LDR? I know keeping our eyes on the deadline helped a lot!

Me! We’ve been LDR since the beginning. Last year I was in Maryland and he was 2 hours away in VA. Then for some of this year I was in PA and we were five hours away. He moved to DE in May and now we see each other a lot more but we’re still 3 ish hours away. We try to se each other every 3 weeks at least. Counting down the days! I honestly think it’s more stressful planning the wedding long distance than the relationship itself 😂
