Who Comes Dress Shopping?

I'm kind of struggling with deciding who I would like to ask to come dress shopping with me. My wedding is in August, so I really want to go either this month or next, and I do already have an idea of what I'm looking for. This is where I'm hung up:

My fiance and I haven't asked anyone to be in the bridal party yet. He has his narrowed down, and I thought I had mine as well. There is one girl I thought I might ask, but now I've also started throwing around the idea of maybe asking my cousin. Anyway, do I have to ask these girls to be in the bridal party before I would ask them to come dress shopping with me? Since obviously I haven't made up my mind about the bridal party, I don't want to just make a decision solely so I'm able to ask them to come dress shopping. I also don't want to ask someone to come and potentially give them the impression that they will be asked to be in the party and then me not ask them. I don't want to be rude, and I definitely don't want any hurt feelings.

If you were to ask me 2 weeks ago who I wanted to take with me it would have been these girls. Now I'm thinking maybe I want to make it a family thing and take my sister, my dad, and my grandma. Or maybe just my sister. Or maybe I'll just go by myself.

I guess to sum all this up, who did you all take with you?

I went alone the first time and took my mom the second time. I would have invited my sister if she lived closer. Bought my dress the second time. I didn't want to take a bunch of people. Too many opinions can be a bad thing.

I agree with that. I just know too many people would most likely overwhelm me. Thanks for the input!

I was kind of on the same boat as you of inviting my cousin who may or may not have been a bridesmaid. I ended up taking my mom, my MOH who was set to be my MOH and my other closest friend who without a doubt was going to be a bridesmaid. 3 was enough for me and more than enough opinions when trying to figure out what i liked.

I want to jump in on this! So we do not have a wedding party at all. Super small intimate wedding. I live in Texas but my family lives in San Diego so my mom can't come out for this upcoming dress appointment. Basically the only person I could invite is my future MIL which kinda makes me uncomfortable with it being just the two of us. I mentioned to my fiance that I was thinking about just going alone and he didn't know if that would be "sad" or not. I'm liking that there are other ladies who went alone! That's encouraging! Help me out here haha

Oh my gosh that's so funny that he said that! That's what I thought when I considered going alone. But honestly I'm starting to think it wouldn't be a bad thing and really, who is anyone to think it's sad I'm there alone haha I say if that's what you want to do, do it! I may end up going solo as well.

I actually went myself this past weekend because my mom lives out of state and my two bridal party members couldn’t make it either. It was maybe not as exciting as if I had brought others but the boutique staff were so nice and I got to FaceTime one bridesmaid and my mom!

I went with just my MOH to try out different styles etc. I then didn’t like the pressure of them wanting information etc. I ended up buying from DB online
