In June 2014 (my date was 12/13/14 but something came up that caused us to push the wedding back and then we forgot about the wedding) my best friend at the time paid half the dress and my FH paid the remaining balance. Now our date is 12/17/20 and I still have the dress but I’m also purchasing another.

I bought my dress. When I went to pay my mom tried to fight me on it but I explained I felt bad having her buy it since we didn't discuss a budget. So to make up for it she offered to cover my alterations.

My fiancé and I had intended to split the cost (as we have with the other wedding costs.) My Dad ended up surprising me by purchasing my dress, he felt very strongly about it... The dress buying experience all together was really special for us.

A combination of people paid for mine. It was $1500 and it was split pretty evenly by 5 people

Both my mom and grandma both helped pitch in a couple hundred, and I paid the rest. (Although *technically* my dad paid for it since I got a discount for paying all up-front and my card doesn’t go that high LOL. Just paid him back via check)
