I did. But I have a sweet story. About 13 years ago my grandma gifted $1K to my sister for her wedding. Then she gifted $1K to each grandkid in case she wasn’t around for ours (she passed a few years later). We could use the money for whatever we wanted but I was saving it for my wedding dress. I needed that money SO bad at least twice to pay debts. And by 40 I wondered if marriage just wasn’t in my cards. Then I found him!
So I bought my dress, with my late grandma’s help, which made the experience extra special!

I bought my dress. Everything related to me or the bridal party I paid for and everything related to the guys he paid.
I was fortunate enough to have my mom pay for the dress and veil because it was something she really wanted to do. I have also been lucky enough to have my family want to help with my accessories for the big day. We are big UNI fans so my fairy god mother (we call her that as we met her in hospice when my grandma passed away and has been in our lives ever since) bought a UNI garter that she just couldn't pass up!
