My ring is a white gold band with a simple marquise diamond. It's beautiful. I absolutely love it. Lately I've noticed when I'm in the shower that the band is starting to turn yellow. I shook it off as it being because the light in the shower is orangey. Well yesterday I was playing around and put my wedding band on (shhhh don't tell FH. He hates when I mess with it) and noticed that next to the clean white gold wedding band my ring looked even more yellow! I'm the only one who sees it but it bothers me! I guess what I'm asking is do you guys see it too or am I crazy? And if it's there does white gold usually do this??

(Pictures attached below. I'm on mobile so bare with me!)

Cleaning it too often or with too harsh a cleaning solution may actually be a part of the problem. If you are using a cheap cleaning solution that may be the culprit.

My ring is white gold, but mine is still pure white. I haven't had any issues with it at all losing color.

I would hold off on cleaning with the solution you bought, that might be making it turn quicker. Also as others said, stop wearing it in the shower. But to fix it just talk to your normal jeweler and get it plated again, and ask if the solution you bought is okay to use. I only use the one that the cleanser that came with my ring.

My e-ring is 2.5 years old. I never take it off, cook with it, shower with it, etc. Maybe the coating was just way to thin. Mine is still fine.
