Which veil for wedding in less than 2 weeks?

Elizabeth, on September 14, 2021 at 4:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16
I make Couture veils as a small business. I originally made a boho drape fingertip length with glass beads and Swarovski crystals hand sewn across entire edge. Then another one I made later was an ivory floor length with rose gold "glitter " flecks throughout with a pearl crown. Second pic. My dress is an ivory & very light champagne stellq york ballgown and my jewelry is rose gold and natural pearl (also made by me). Intimate outdoor wedding. Which is best? Or should I make a new chapel length ivory super soft tulle with lightly scattered pearl combs boho style? Which veil for wedding in less than 2 weeks? 1

I like it too. It's heavier and in a traditional style so kind of hides the hair but I love the look and the pictures don't do it justice at all. Thanks for your opinion!

I get liking the length of the 2nd one, but I really like the way the 1st attaches to your hair, just looks more ethereal and less traditional - unless traditional is what you're going for

Nope! Not going for traditional at all. Really want a romantic vibe. And I wanted my dress to play center stage, but then I started seeing all the bridal models in their cathedral veils and I started thinking is it enough? I really do love it though. I spent hours sewing on every bead. I just don't think I'm going to know for sure until I get my dress back which won't be until 6 days before the wedding (yikes!). So I'm basically looking for opinions until then so thanks!

I agree with this. They're both gorgeous, so I don't think it will matter which you go for! I do love the first one, I like the way they look like wings. But the second one is so romantic.

I like the second one but I am partial to all things sparkly.

Thanks for all the opinions guys! I'm glad you love them as much as I do. Since I made them I get really critical about them and worry they aren't ever good enough or that other people won't like them since they are a bit on the unique side. Thanks guys for your input. I really do appreciate it.

Thanks! I love making different veils. People do this weird thing where it looks like their bun is eating their veil because the veil goes into the bottom of the bun because they want to show their hair so I thought this would be a gorgeous alternative.

I like the second one!! It's so pretty and it really accents the waistline!

Thanks! I love it too. The picture doesn't do it justice at all really. It's gorgeous fabric. If I wear it I'm going to make a matching belt I think. The only thing is I'm in Kentucky and it's still pretty warm and it's a heavier veil. I'm definitely going to try it on with my dress though. I think it's going to look gorgeous. I spent so many hours beading the other one though so for me it's just been a hard choice. I appreciate all the input though. Gives me other people's points of view.

I always vote for longer veils-they scream "bride" to me.

That's my entire reason for this post actually. I googled veils with ballgown to get an idea of the feel of both with my dress and they were literally all cathedral length. It made me second guess myself, so here I am! Lol

You’ll only have it on for a little while (ceremony and pictures usually) so I say go big or go home. My veil is 13.5 feet long-I got the longest one I could find…it’s called “royal” length!
