Which came first: deciding on your first dance song or your songs for parent dances?

First dance song was decided before we got engaged hahaa. Parents dance songs were definitely a bit harder to figure out!

We knew what we wanted our first dance song to be since before we were even engaged. I decided the father daughter song not long after getting engaged and FH does not want to do a Mother Son dance.

Both sets of parents have passed on, so we're not doing that. We've pretty much decided on most of the other special songs though

LOL definetly not! we are hopping to watch some youtube videos and ask my parents for some help to learn how to dance so we aren't just swaying back and forth lol

Lol, best of luck! You could also put some music on and practice in the kitchen! That's what I do.

We haven't picked either yet! FH is in charge of picking our first dance song and I think I know what song I want for my dad but I'm not 100% set on it yet.

I have a long Spotify playlist made up of possible songs for my 1st dance and parent dances, which is great because Spotify will then pump out suggestions related to the ones I have added. I've learned about some new songs that I love that are great options using this tactic (wedding isn't for over a year from today, so I have some time)
