My husband and I were recently on our honeymoon, and on our last night there, we reminisced about many of our adventures throughout our relationship so far, all the way back to our first date! For our first date, we went to a sporting event together. Our team lost, the seats weren't great, but yet, it was probably my favorite game that I've been to.

    We went to a dive bar in Los Angeles. The music from the jukebox was fire, The food was awful but the drinks were good enough to give us both the courage to talk for hours. We go there annually for our anniversary.

    I think it's so cool that so many people incorporate their first date into their annual traditions!! Bummer that the food wasn't good, but sounds like everything else made it worth it.

    For sure. The food still sucks but the music is great. So worth going back there. Our first date was so uncomplicated. I didn’t even dress up for it. Jeans, T shirt and a dodger hat. Purposely dressed this way as I wanted him to see the real unglamorous me. We laugh about it to this day. 😂

    Haha, that's a good way of thinking! If you're gonna be with someone, you get all sides of them: dressed up for a date, dressed up for work, dressed in pajamas/comfy clothes for a night in, wearing makeup, not wearing makeup, etc. Might as well show them every side early on. I also did not dress up for my first date with my husband, since we went to a sporting event.

    Congratulations on your honeymoon! It's so heartwarming to hear about your journey and the special memories you've created together. Our first date was quite simple yet memorable. We went hiking in a nearby park, enjoying nature and each other's company. It set the tone for many more adventures to come. It's fascinating to hear about different first-date experiences!
