Where Was Your First Date?

the bar we had drinks at actually does events so i thought it would be kinda cute if we used it as a venue for maybe our 5th year anniversary party or something

Yes, a lot of our dates have become traditions! Like, "our" drink is hot chocolate and Bailey's because we had a snow day together; "our" movie is 10 Things I Hate About You because we watched that at my place after the lasagna... we're both really sentimental people.

And after that first date, I passed my thesis with distinction so my FW was like, "Lol, you're welcome!"

It was right around our law school finals, so our first date was technically a study date lol. We made it "official" after finals, and went out for brunch, a walk around a local park, and frozen yogurt.

We met through a volunteer organization actually! We didn't realize we had a class together until the end of the semester 😂

Our first date was “accidental” if you will. We had been eyeing each other at a Catholic Young Adult group outing at a Dave & Busters and began talking to each other as we were looking at the prizes. The rest of the group had gone to the IMAX, so I asked him “hey do you want to catch up with the others and see a movie?” And he said “sure!” By the time we walked over, the group was gone! We awkwardly stood there for a bit before he asked “Would you like to just pick a movie and we will see it ourselves?” I decided to say yes and he was a gentleman and paid for both our tickets 🥰 We ended up seeing Dunkirk. Fast forward to almost 4 years later, his best friend and best man mentions in his speech at our rehearsal dinner that my husband called him after that night and said “Hey, so, um I think I just accidentally went on a date?” and his best friend was like “Wait what? What did you do?” 😂

In n out was our first date 😂

Haha, that's an awesome way to end up on a date with someone! Very kind of him to pay for both tickets, too. Do you guys rewatch the movie as an annual tradition? And I love how the best man incorporated your first date into his speech!
