Where to send RSVP cards?

Nicole, on April 16, 2013 at 3:36 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 11

What address are you listing on your RSVP envelopes for guests to send reply cards to? Most of my engaged friends seem to be sending to their mother's house, however my mom lives far away and so does FH's mom. I would send them to my house but our mailperson frequently mixes up mail and puts it in the wrong box (one of those central apartment complex boxes.. ugh).

Part of me doesn't want to send anywhere else because I think it would be exciting to run out to the mailbox every day to find out who is coming!!

Where are your RSVPS going??

Sounds like your situation is unique though! I would've said send them to your house but if you think they may get lost, you better ask to use a friends address maybe?

I had everything wedding related sent to my mothers house. The mail at our apt gets mixed up all the time.

I'm going to have them sent home. Maybe you can talk to your mail-person to make sure that they are paying attention? Grease them up a little with some baked goods?

I was going to recommend a PO Box too! Smiley smile If I were in your situation that is what I would do! That way you know you will get all your responses and it will be in your home town, you can swing by your PO Box on your way home from work each day!

Thanks! PO box is a good idea! I just looked into it and by me its $50 for 3 months but close to FH's work its $20 for 3 months. So maybe I can convince him to go to the post office a couple times a week Smiley winking

Yea, I think in your situation, a PO box might be the best bet for peace of mind.

(We had our RSVPs sent to our home.)

Our's are coming to our house but we don't have any problems with our mailperson. Do you have a friend or sibling that's nearby and trustworthy? Otherwise I would consider doing a PO Box.

I agree with the PO box. It seems to be the best choice for this situation.
