Where To Sell Unworn/unaltered Wedding Dress?

I bought a wedding dress but am needing to sell it. It is a beautiful dress but the cost I was quoted to alter it to my size was more expensive than the dress itself and we have since changed plans and are privately marrying so I no longer need this dress. I am struggling selling it! The shop I bought it from will not give me a refund. I've posted it on Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, and a few local wedding Facebook groups. There are some wedding websites that I would have to pay to post it for sale, which I'm not interested in doing because I don't want to lose any additional money. Any suggestions?

Try fb marketplace or sites like mercari. I think there's actual sites for wedding dress sales too

What would a consignment shop give you for it? I'm not sure how it works or what their cut is but some money back is better than none. What needed to be altered on the dress/why so expensive?? I'm waiting for mine to come in and stressing about the cost of alterationsSmiley atonished

It can be difficult trying to sell a wedding dress because even though you have never worn or altered it, it is still considered "used." As a result, even if you do get some interest it will most likely be at a significant discount from the price you paid. You can try stillwhite.com and preownedweddingdress.com. I think you pay a very small, nominal fee but it will probably get more exposure to other brides to increase your chance of another bride seeing it.

I bought my wedding dress from someone on ebay and was super happy that I did and she was super happy to sell and recoup some money.
