Where to sell leftover wedding items?

Tonia, on August 26, 2022 at 12:59 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

We were recently married in July 2022, and we have so much stuff left that was never used (new) and items that are gently used. Literally a dozen or more 50-gallon totes filled with wedding items from clothing, flowers, backdrops, catering items, tablecloths, decorations, you name it we might have. My question is, can anyone offer a suggestion or possible websites I can post that we have wedding items to get rid of? We are still sorting through all the totes doing inventory and to our amazement on the stuff we still have. We had a fairly large wedding and planned for 350 people and actually had anywhere from 150-200 guests and a wedding party of 50 people.

Facebook groups for local weddings would be a great place to start! Search for groups named sometimes along the lines of, "[city/area name] weddings" or "[city/area name] brides". I was in a couple of those, and saw many people either posting decor items for sale, or posting about decor items they were looking for.

Also, you can post things on eBay, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, etc.

My SIL bought and then re-sold most of her wedding stuff on FB Marketplace. The trick is to bundle it together and sell items that way rather than individually.

You could also try and donate them to a church or other group that hosts large events.

You can use Facebook market or eBay. Any website that are similar to these you can use. You can also donate it to a thrift store or church
