Where to go after the Reception??

Ashley, on October 16, 2018 at 7:22 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 23

What are you and your fiance going after the wedding is over? Are you being taken away in a limo? Riding with friends? After party? Hotel? Honeymoon? Trying to figure out what we are doing!

Our venue has a honeymoon suite that we will be going to.

We'll drive home and then leave for honeymoon the next day. Way too stressful to attempt to fly the day of the wedding in my opinion. Not doing a limo or anything like that.

The hotel bar. Every wedding that I've been to this summer has had an after party of some sort at a local bar. It isn't funded by anyone, but just a little more time for the bride and groom to hang out informally with their friends

Are you riding with friends? Or are another transportation you are taking for you and your husband?

Our bridal party helped us clean up and we went back to our hotel; nothing fancy, no big grand exit.

We had a DW so everyone was in the same hotel so we just grabbed a ride with whoever had an open car and then went back to the hotel bar.

We keep saying that we want to possibly have an after party. My FH is West Indian and we wanted to party a little later than our venue allows. However I think FH and I also are excited to spend time with each other after the wedding so we may just go to our hotel. We fly out for our honeymoon the next day.

We had an early wedding with a lunch reception with just 4 guests. We had tickets for a hockey game that night. After the reception we went home and took a nap before the hockey game that night.

After party back at the hotel...we've arranged for the bar to stay open late (11-1) and will probably do some snacks, but it's a cash bar at that point. We'll just head back there with everyone else on the shuttles.

I wish we could have a fun after party! However, we are responsible for grabbing all of the items we brought (they’ll do the main clean up, but all our centerpieces, signs, gifts, etc. we have to take) within 45 minutes of the end of our event. It’ll be nearly 11pm by that time, and due to noise ordinances in the city, we can’t party afterwards! We would have to drive to the small little downtown area where bars are open to keep partying, but after the long day, I’m not sure we will have the energy to do that. Plus, I don’t think I want to walk around Main Street in my gown lol. We have a great Airbnb by our venue that we can’t have parties at, but the host said we could have our parents over and keep it calm.

No, we had an elopement package so our photographer was gone by that time and we didn't do a dance or anything, just dinner and cake.

We had a room in the same hotel as all the guests so we just went back to the hotel with them and stayed at the hotel bar for the after party.

We are going to SLEEP! Haha. Our reception ends at midnight, cleanup ends at 1am, and our hotel is attached to the venue.

We are going to our after party up the street and then to our hotel suite via Uber. We have to leave for our honeymoon early the next morning so honestly...we might not even sleep.

We’re going back to our hotel suite. It has 2 floors so we’ve invited people to come there and say hi and hang out after the reception! We don’t want the party to end at 10:30 when the reception is over.

Our dance ended at midnight and we spent about 30 minutes grabbing all of our personal things/decorations, etc. as everything we didn't want thrown away had to be out by 1am. Then we went to our hotel where all of our out of town guests were staying and where we had a honeymoon suite reserved.
