Where to find stamps for postcard RSVPs?

Rebecca, on June 12, 2015 at 2:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

Our RSVPs are postcards and the rate increased this year to .35. None of the local post offices have .35 cent stamps yet. I went online to usps.com and the attached is the only style they have. I'm not that picky, but I have my limits! Did any of you use postcard RSVPs and if so, where did you get your stamps??

#firstworldproblems is completely appropriate here.

Hmm, you still have some time! Maybe just wait a month or two and the post office will get more?

    Order them from

www.usps.com. they come in a few days and it only costs like a buck or so to ship them. You have some time, but honestly, no one REALLY pays attention to the rsvp stamps anyway...

I actually kind of like the birds. And PC is right. You've got time to wait for other stamps.

That might be the only design they make. Unlike the letter stamps, there typically aren't a bunch of different designs for postcard stamps.

I actually bought vintage stamps from ebay and etsy. . ..it definitely was more expensive than buying new, though. . .

I was wondering the same thing! My STDs are postcards and those bird stamps are not my favorites...I'm going to try a couple post offices near me and if all else fails, bird stamps it is.

I bought 34 cent ones for our STDs and bought enough for the RSVPs before the price went up. I was going to stick the 1 cent on there instead of buying new ones, because IDGAF.

Is that actually too bad, though? Should I suck it up and get new postcard stamps? (Sorry to hijack. Birds are fine.)

I kinda like the birds, and I am usually not a bird person. If you really hate them you can pay more for regular forever stamps. We got an invite yesterday with a postcard RSVP and a forever stamp. Whatever is easier I guess!

Thanks, y'all. Bird stamps it is! I just want to get this done so that they're ready to go later. The rational part of me knows that nobody will notice it anyway.

@futuremrsslav, I think adding a 1 cent stamp is fine.

I love the birds. Haha. I bought different wildlife bird stamps and needed to get more (because I need 2 forever stamps on my invites) and I was mad that those were not $.49! I ended up getting ferns. But really....no one will notice!

Ha, thanks. I was like "Oh no! If she's upset about the appropriateness of the birds, my old birds + tiffany lamp are probably too crazy."

My 34 cents stamps are hummingbirds and the 1 cent stamps I added on the postcard beside those are Tiffany lamps. I wanted Bobcats, but our PO doesn't even carry those.

I think those birds on the ones you posted are horrendous...and I am not really picky! lol

We looked today and I'm in the same boat and hate the birds. On Zazzle they are $1.05 each for postcard stamps...not happening. lol I do have a tendency to look at the stamps...but then again, I'm not the usual kind of person. haha

I actually love the birds! I used the .34 cent hummingbird stamps and sent out invitations before I heard about the 1 cent increase. I was really nervous that all my RSVPs would get sent back to sender, but I'm still getting them in the mail every day so I guess no big deal?

No one is going to care about what the stamp looks like. I think the birds are fine.

I had to use the old .35 stamps and a .01 stamp - no post office had the new ones, and USPS.com wanted to charge me shipping costs. Which would have been cheap, but I opposed on principle...as in, you won't carry the stamps I need and you are charging to give me the ones I need???
