It just occurred to me though that I don't know where they will sit or when do they eat? Trying to remember from other weddings I have been to but cannot recall. What is usually done?

We usually sit on stage with our equipment, unless a place is set for us. It should make no difference to your vendors. You are paying them, but you should feed them.

Thanks for reminding me to do this. I had totally forgotten about the DJ. I will ask our facility to set them up in a side room that should be available for them, or they can have dinner in the cocktail room.

Ok. I get the DJ and photographer get fed but what about the Baker and decorator? We're getting married in a church do I include the priest?

I'm having this same internal debate right now. So far, the vendors that I know we'll be feeding are the DJ and the photographer. Our officiant told us she doesn't typically stay for the meal. At my sister's wedding sixteen years ago, I remember seeing the photographer seated amongst the guests; she didn't have a special spot. The DJ was my sister's friend's brother, and the friend was a guest, so he sat at her table. At my other sister's wedding, the music was her husband's sister and her band, so they were among the family seats. I suppose we'll just ask the vendors where they want to sit. If they're not comfortable sitting with the guests, the venue is big enough that they could have their own spots elsewhere.

I had 2 videographers, 2 photographers, 2 DJs, and a wedding painter. I just made a table since it didn't look too empty. I just gave them the same food options.

Every wedding I have attended, they are seated in the same room so they don’t miss the action. Djs will normally eat at their station
