When you see your venue you know? Was it true for you?

I knew I wanted mine because it's were my FH and I first met at a dance back in 1985, so it's a sentimental choice for us

Yes! I've had a specific venue in my mind for THE LONGEST TIME! We decided against it because I felt like we wouldn't have been able to make it work financially. We ended up booking a different venue and at first I was excited. Less than a month later, we ended up changing it to my dream venue and now we're determined to make it work. Our guest count dropped so that helped a lot.

I did a lot of online research. We toured 5 venues. I wouldn't say I had a "moment" but we did like what we saw and what they offered. We felt they were the best option and, for the most part, we were happy with them.

Yep and it wasn't even on my initial radar. We scheduled two venue tours. After the first venue, we cancelled and second and booked with the first immediately. It's like when you find your significant other. When you know, you know!

Loved that is was all inclusive and half their standard rate because it is on a Friday and off-peak season (November 1st). Using that money to upgrade guest experience. Full open bar and upgraded menu.

I did A LOT of research and looking at venues online. By the time I found our venue I was feeling defeated and ready to settle. The first time i saw our venue online I knew it was the one. Doing a site visit sealed the deal for me. I didn’t commit right away because it was 100% DIY and our second choice was not. My husband and mom were upset I made the choice i did.
in the end our day was perfect, it all turned out beautifully 😊

I have to disagree. We much preferred the vibe of the first venue we toured, but it just wasn't going to work for us budget wise for what they offered (not enough and wanted us to basically set up and tear down ourselves for high pricepoints). We decided on the second venue because it was newly being built at the time so they offered us discounts and free pick of a date for basically the whole month of October. So I would say we didn't have a moment but we liked it enough to say yes lol. Could we have found cheaper? Probably. Could we have found something way more rustic/barn like? Yes, but with a year out most things we wanted were booked because everyone and their brother wants a rustic wedding here in PA even though it's not their style at all.. Kinda irritating. It's a beautiful venue, food is fantastic, so we made it work for us!

I had originally planned to go with a venue that was all inclusive, decor, food, alcohol. But when we went and toured another venue, I immediately knew I had to have it. It is absolutely perfect! The owners worked with me and did their best to keep my date open until we had the deposit, and they are just amazing people! It has a courtyard that is gorgeous for the ceremony, and the ballroom is perfect for the reception. The all inclusive venue only had a large room so no separate space for ceremony and reception. We're also paying less for the one we chose even with having to do outside catering.

Yes we looked at 3 and based on what they looked like online I thought I had my mind made up but I’m glad I toured them all because we fell in love with a different one.

This is what happened with us. I knew I wanted our venue from the second I looked at it online, no one else was on board until they went and saw it in person. Then everyone (my FH, my parents, my MIL) all fell in love with it immediately.

Ours was this way too! There were a few things that we HAD to have in a venue, and the second one we looked at had it all. We all knew leaving the tour that it was the one we'd book.

Definitely had that moment with our venue. We had about 6 or 7 places we were going to look at. First was beautiful inside but was not a fan of the highway outside the outdoor ceremony space and was also way over budget. 2nd was beautiful and great price. Similar issue with outdoor ceremony space, but doable. FH brought up the 3rd venue to look at and I had never even heard of it before. Looking online it was beautiful and I thought there was no way we would be able to afford it, but we got there and it blew all of our expectations out of the park. We weren’t even to the car yet when we went back inside to reserve our date.

We absolutely had got that feeling when we saw our venue. I had booked to tour 3, the first one was IT, we did go see the second and I ended up canceling the last one.

Yes, totally. I knew from seeing it online it was amazing, and it was the first place we toured. FH even said F**k...when we were done with our tour because he didn't want to like it so much. We toured another similar hotel a few miles away to make sure we weren't getting screwed price wise, but ended up going right back to the first one!

Yep! We only toured one venue, but I reached out to about 60 for pricing/availability beforehand. Once I saw pictures of my venue online, I thought it was the one. Once we toured it, we knew that's where we wanted to get married!

We wanted an more inclusive hotel venue, so since we weren't just going off appearance we had to put a little more logic than just relying on "just knowing." What made us choose our venue over others was the catering (unique options that had A LOT of food), we clicked well with the staff that would be coordinating the wedding, the centerpieces and cake were included among many other things so that would save us money, we could have the ceremony on site and the ballroom was beautiful.

We kinda had the same issue you are having. For us the first one was a 100% no, the second one I LOVED but my husband seemed unsure, the 3rd one I liked but he didn't so we decided to visit a 4th to compare to the 2nd and see if that helps us decide, and it did! We both LOVED the 4th and it included more than the 2nd so it logically made sense as well.

Yep - when we walked in we knew. Had just the style we liked plus had the added bonus of being a block from where we had our first date (we also will be getting married on the 5th anniversary of our first date). All the stars aligned and we cannot wait!

Yes!! My FH and I visited our 2nd venue tour and literally the moment we saw where the ceremony was gonna be both of us fell in love! I could actually see myself getting married there! Once the tour was over, Kelsey let us walk around ourselves to talk about it and once both of us shared our feelings, within 1 week we signed the contract and paid the down payment to book our date! And we are so excited! October 17, 2020 can’t come fast enough!
