When to shop for my wedding dress

9-10 months out to allow for 6-8 months for the dress to come in, and 2-3 months for alterations leading up to the day.

One boutique seemed to indicate the time is a bit longer now. She said it was more like 10 months. But it depends on the designer and where you get it from. Some shops are a combination of in-store and online purchases. These ones with online presence may let you get a dress already in stock. Best to look by November otherwise.

I would start looking now, it will relieve a lot of pressure out of the way! I actually found my wedding dress almost a year before I was engaged! I called my now fiance and he told me to grab it since it was $50 at the thrift store! Were getting married in decemver 2023 and are planning everything now so that we arent stressed last minute! I see all the time peopole stressing out a month before so I want to try and limut that for me! Hope this helps!
