When to send August wedding invites?

We postponed our June wedding to August 15th. We were supposed to send out invites mid-April but now that feels WAY too soon with everything going on. When are other August brides sending out invites? When should we send ours?

Our wedding is July 24th and I sent out our invitations out on Monday this week! The reason I decided to send ours out a little early is so that all of our guests can have enough notice and time to plan with everything going on!

It’s a small local wedding, I’m thinking July 1st but I hope that’s not too late. We already ordered the invites to say July 31st as the RSVP deadline

We postponed our April wedding to August and we sent ours out this week! It’s more of like a “change the date” and invite all in one. Cheaper and easier!

That’s a great idea! We sent our change the dates on Paperless post about 2 weeks ago. I never considered a 2 for 1

Same, that’s why I considered waiting longer... just in case we have to cancel

Lau’ren, sorry to hear your wedding got postponed. My wedding is planned for August 15 too. Since our wedding is on the smaller side and only close family and friends, were going to wait until July 1 to send invites.

You're generally supposed to give people 2-4 weeks to RSVP, so if your RSVP date is July 31, any time during the first week of July should probably be good.

Mine is August 1 and I am planning on sending mine in about 2ish weeks. We didn't do STD. We also need our numbers to the caterer by July 1, so I need them back earlier than most!

Our wedding is also August 15th. I was planning on sending the invites out the end of May/beginning of June with a July 1st RSVP thinking some are going to come after that or I will have to chase them down. This way I still have a couple weeks until I have to have a final count to the reception venue. Hope everything is able to go as planned!
