When to order wedding favors?

I already ordered mine. I just ordered one for everyone I invited. It's edible, so if we have extras, oh well. Someone will take them.

The week of. Since it was fresh popcorn, that was my best option

I ordered all of mine months ago and made sure to purchase more than coming just in case. I honestly planned everything way earlier than the timeline says, but I'm just the kind of person that likes all the big things outta the way so I don't have to worry about most of it later.

The nature of what you are giving as favors would most likely determine when you should order. Certain edibles would obviously be better fresh, so I'd wait as long as I could and just pony up for rush shipping. Anything with customization would have to be determined by the processing time of the place you are ordering from. Honestly, I'd order them earlier than you think you need to. There could be issues with the delivery service and if it's anything you need to do anything to (like box, tie ribbon on, etc) you likely aren't going to want to do that the week of your wedding. My actual favors were handmade (non-edible) and I estimated the number I would need (on the high end of course) and had them done early. What they were packaged in came from 4 different sources, so I had those ordered in plenty of time as well. For any that I had over the amount I ended up needing, I dropped in the little thank you bags I gave to my vendors with their tips.

It depends on if your favors are edible. We ordered ours months in advance because they were chapsticks. We ordered for the original number of people we invited, plus some extras for us.

Order now and get as many as people you invited.

Yeah, I agree that it matters on what you're getting them. If it's edible, hold off. But knowing you, it'll probably be something more like a gift certificate to golden corral, which you could order now if you want!

Do a desert buffet table for your favors, at least that way you'll have something formal at the reception
