When to mail wedding invitations?

6-8 weeks in advance is right on the money I know it's sooo tempting to want to know sooner, but a lot of people can't commit to their plans further in advance, so you wouldn't get the most accurate idea of who can actually come!

Mid-July. 6-8 weeks in normal so around July 15th.

IMO I think since it is summer and people plan a lot of traveling, I think late June would be fine. I wouldn't think it was too early. Especially if you're like me and have friends who take forever to reply.

ETA: I would still keep the RSVP date the same, just send them out a bit sooner.

Yes, we sent out save the dates. A lot of our guests live out of town and we are getting married at a smaller hotel that books up fast, so I wanted to make sure everyone gets a room in time.

I think you can send earlier if you are having a DW or if a lot of your guests are OOT. Otherwise, 6-8 weeks should be perfect.

My wedding is the weekend before yours, and I plan to send them end of June.

@Crazyinlove - did you include a wedding website on your save the dates, and the hotel info on the wedding website? As a guest I almost always book my flights and hotel before the invite is sent based off on what is on the website!

We did include our wedding website on our save the dates, but not a lot of people haven't booked the hotel yet. I feel like a lot of people haven't even checked out the website, especially our older guests.
