When to leave reception?

Kristen, on September 11, 2017 at 3:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 72

When are you planning to leave your reception? Will you and your new spouse leave a little early for some alone time, or will you stay until the party ends? Are you planning on doing a grand exit or leaving unannounced?

We'll probably stay until the end, no big exit planned (that said, we're usually fans of the Irish Good-bye, so we'd be more prone to sneaking out unannounced)

We took the last shuttle to the hotel along with the rest of the guests that were still there at the end of the night!

Not sure. We're leaving for our mini-moon that night so I'm not sure. It's a little over 2 hours to get there.

We aren't doing an exit, I'm looking forward to having the planned pieces of the reception over so I can take a deep breath

We will most likely stay till the end.

This is definitely a conversation worth having though. The last wedding I went to, the bride and groom clearly had different ideas and the bride ended up screaming at the groom in front of half of their guests because she wanted to leave and he didn't.

We'll probably be there until the end to clean up. Our venue isn't staffed and we don't want to have to come back the next day to clean before leaving for our honeymoon.

We were the last ones out. Took me a while to pack up all my stuff in the bridal suite and then catering wrapped up the leftover cake for us.

Ours has to be cleaned up before and we don't want to leave it to the guests (diy wedding ) so we are doing a send off in the morning

Since we were hosting it, we stayed until the end. We had to check in with our DOC and make sure everything was taken care of at the end of the night in terms of clean up.

We were the last to leave along with our wedding party. No need for a grand exit that was at the church.

I haven't planned anything for myself yet, but bride that I was bridesmaid for planned an exit and for everyone to throw sprinkles. Well, they had a fake exit (so wedding planner could officially leave, and everyone who wanted to leave earlier could without missing the joy of throwing sprinkles), and then continues partying for a few more hours. They stayed to pack some major stuff up and at the behest of inlaws, left for the honeymoon the next day while family finished cleaning venue the Sunday morning (they got venue the whole weekend)

We don't have exit plans. If we're having fun, we'll stay to the end. If we want to leave early, we will. At my cousin's wedding, all of a suddon, the music stopped and the DJ made an accouncement that they were leaving. It was kinda akward, but at least everyone knew they were gone!
