When should I get my nails done?

I'm not sure when I should do them... My parents come in Monday and I feel like Sunday is the only day I'll have time to do it but I get married Thursday... Suggestions?

We got them done the night before. It was a chance to have some relaxing time with just the two of us and a friend, before the wedding madness started. Why would you need to do it so early?

I got a shellac gel manicure on Wednesday, wedding was the following Saturday a few days later. My nails were still perfect, and lasted through the honeymoon!

I couldn't have done it the day before. I was so busy! Would have been stressful

If you do get them done super early, make sure you pick up a quick dry top coat like Seche Vite, and re-topcoat them every couple of days, wrapping the tips. This will help prevent chips and tip wear.

I do my own nails (I make polish,) and frequently can go a week or more with regular plush with no signs of wear, just growth space showing. Wrapping the tips, where you paint the free edge of your nails to seal the polish, helps prevent the nails from absorbing water, thus they don't swell and shrink, which can make polish chip, crack, and lift.

Please excuse my ragged cuticles. They seriously need to be oiled. Smiley smile
