When should I get my nails done?

Jamie, on March 12, 2016 at 6:45 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 26

I'm not sure when I should do them... My parents come in Monday and I feel like Sunday is the only day I'll have time to do it but I get married Thursday... Suggestions?

I would recommend getting a shellac manicure if you do it a few days before. When I get mine done I don't have any chips after two weeks just regrowth.

Can you take time in the early AM that Wednesday? I think it's always good to pamper yourself a day or two before the wedding..maybe have your mom come with you?

I am getting mine done the night before. I pick at my nails when I'm nervous and they wouldn't last to next Saturday otherwise.

I'd do it on Wednesday if you can. It's only an hour at most, and it'll be a great time to just relax amid the craziness that is about to come Smiley smile

What is shellac?... My nails are super short right now because I rip them off when I'm anxious...

I would get them the day or two before. Not only to have them look as fresh as they can but also to take that time for yourself and relax. Get a pedicure too, and have a good time relaxing before the busy day.

I would try to do it the day before. Surely you can block off an hour or two on Wednesday. You don't have to be with your parents 24/7 once they arrive, or you could see if your mom wants to get her nails done with you.

Jamie just FYI its more expensive than regular polish. My gel mani is usually $30, but it will look great even with short nails. And it it will last your whole honeymoon, if you're going after the wedding!

If you get a gel manicure they normal last two weeks minimum. For days should be fine.

My acrylic lasts 3-4 weeks and then they need to be done because of the grow out not the nail polish..I tried shellac once.. More expensive ( 35 versus 20) and the polish was wearing off the tips after 3 days.
