When did your parents meet FH's parents? We are 51 days out from the wedding and our parents still haven't met yet. I honestly sort of think we may just have them meet at the wedding or the night before if we do anything. We aren't having a shower so they don't have the opportunity to meet there. We...

We aren't having a shower so they don't have the opportunity to meet there. We aren't having an actual rehearsal (small beach wedding, no need) but may do dinner or drinks the night before since people are traveling.

FH's father isn't coming to the wedding so he wouldn't meet my parents then if we did just wait.

Honestly, I'm sort of okay with them not meeting. I feel like a dinner out with all of us or a bbq or something would just be awkward. Neither has really brought it up so I don't know if I should or not.

They met after a year and a half of us dating at my FH's birthday party.

Edit: My FH's father passed away the year I graduated high school (5 years before we met) so my father never met his father, but my mother actually used to work with his father a long time ago so they met when we were children! Funny how the world works sometimes.

Either the day of or rehearsal if we have one and my ffil might not be there due to work. My parents live out of state.

Only our moms have met twice and we got married this spring after being together almost 6 years lol. Our families are a bit dramatic with both sets of parents divorced so...his dad has not met either of my parents and neither of his parents have met my dad. I think if they were all in the same room the world by blow up!

They have not met yet, but hoping we can go soon. My father has been fighting cancer since May of last year, and is doing great now. Hoping this fall we can introduce them. It should be very interesting since FFIL is a staunch Republican and my dad is a Democrat or hates to talk politics. LOL

FH's parents live 3 provinces away, so they won't have a chance to meet until everyone gets to the island a couple days before the wedding.

Our fathers have been best friends since 5th grade. Our families have had "family dates" 1-2x a year our whole lives. That's how we know each other.

Keep in mind this was in the early 70s. My mom and dad met while my mom and her first husband were looking for a commune..... They looked at one run by my dad and his first wife. I was born before they were married, they were divorced before I was 4. Classy. On the other hand, DH and I have been married 16 years and dated 10 years before that.
