Mines not at all romantic. It sounds super trashy but it was out of character for us both. so he was drinking with his sister and her boyfriend at their moms house one night which was about 4 minutes from my apartment.
My car had broken down a couple days before so I was walking to the gas station and at the same time they were driving to the gas station.
I went inside and dropped something and hos sisters boyfriend handed it back to me. They got done and in the car before I had checked out and apparently she was arguing with him accusing him of flirting with me (he wasn't and never has lol).
Then my fiance was in the back seat and rolled the window down as I walked past and said to me "Hey, I just wanted to tell you you're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Can I get your number?" So I giggled embarrassed said sure and gave it to him. He text me wanting to hang out for two weeks and I just couldnt. I had left a very abusive relationship a year prior and was scared. But he was very persistent and I liked that he thought I was worth him not giving up even though I mostly ignored him. I finally consented to hanging out but he had a guy friend over and I felt out of place so I left 5 minutes later. He kept trying and another week later I went over to watch a movie with just him. We cuddled the entire time and had an amazing night and we have literally been together every day and night since for over 7 years now. He's the best thing that's ever happened to me and I'm so happy he persisted and showed me there are good men out there. What's funny is he hardly ever drinks and is way too shy to ever approach any woman (his words and now knowing him I concur that that is likely.) And this was one random night of liquid courage and fate lol.

Online dating! (wow so popular)

When you're too busy to meet people in passing or have a set routine, it can be hard to meet people so online was the only way for me. I was almost giving up after many "what are we"s and "I'm not looking for anything serious"-type people. Then when I almost deleted all the apps, I met my FH. Unexpected happiness.

We met about 15 years ago at Duke Hospital. We said our hello and how are you almost everyday. With time we lost touch with each other. Years later (2016) we met once more I was washing an ambulance with another co-worker of mine, when James spotted me. He came up to me making small talk once more. After a few weeks James asked me for my phone number. I in return gave my same speech I give everyone who asked me out. 4-3-0, that my phone number. 4 is the number of children I have, 3 is the number of jobs I have to support them, no I don't need you money, 0 is the number of times your going to call back!! Do you still want my real number?? James said "YES I DO"!! Afterwards we cont. to just be friends and getting to know each other. One evening James asked me for a real date. I accepted. On September 10th, 2016 we had a our 1st real date. This cont. until December 25th, 2018 James asked me to be his wife. I of course accepted. Then again on February 22nd, 2019 James asked me once more to become his wife. Only this time he had given me an engagement ring!! (I really didn't want one). I of course said yes once more. So on December 14th, 2019 we will say our "I DO's" in front of their family and friends.

We both went to the same early showing of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. He was sitting behind me in line for about three hours haha. He and his friend had their DSes out and I had my PSP. I look over and, being an overly curious and friendly person, ask what they're playing. His friend answers "pokemon" without looking up. He leans around his friend and asks "what are YOU playing?" And I answer "Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core". We end up talking for the next several hours and then exchanged numbers after the movie.

We met in high school. Were friends Freshman year lost tough until Sr year and started dating right before grad. We've had a pretty bumpy past but we've made it through, have a one year old son and are getting married after 3 years of dating.

We first met in 7th grade, when we were 12. I had a crush right from the start but it took him a little longer to notice me. He basically friend zoned me the first couple of years. Then, freshman year of high school, we fell in love. But it was not to last.

We lost touch after graduation, and reconnected on Facebook in 2016, right before our class reunion. He wasn't able to attend, but we met up a few months later to catch up. Sparks flew, and we started dating, and here we are, 2 1/2 years later, getting married!

FH and i met in 7th grade, after taking finals we sat together because he was the only person with an iPod lol. I loved his taste in music so we became friends. We didn’t start dating until senior year of high school because he was shy about his feelings and I was clueless to his feelings! Then one day on tumblr he told me he wanted to go on a date and then rest was history!

We met at church one day and became friends and it grew to romance. We were fortunate enough to marry at the same church

We met in 2012 through a church function. Didn't really pay much attention to each other at first but would see each other over the years at different meetings and gatherings actually probably 6-8 times a year, we would smile, awkward hug and make really stupid small talk. Fast forward to 2018 I think we were both in the right place in our lives (finally) I wandered over to him, told him "you clean up nicely" (he was in a snazzy suit) and then the rest is history. He asked me out then and there and we got married 11 days ago!

I got moved to a new team at work. I had been joking with a work friend that I hoped this new team had some cute guys on it, when low and behold I met everyone for the first time and saw him!

He didn’t say anything, just smiled this big, goofy smile, and I died! I immediately texted my friend that “finally found a hot guy” and just had the biggest crush on him. After a few months of just being friends, he finally asked me out and the rest is history

We met on Tinder. I was super nervous about meeting someone online so we talked on the phone and texted for like a month before I agreed to go on a date with him. Our first date was a Friday evening and lasted 8 hours! Our second date was Saturday and on Sunday he invited me over to his house for dinner. I knew on the 3rd date that he was the one, but it took him 3 years to propose!

I first saw him when I told his brother to pick up some fudge brownies in front of my college. He had driven his brother there.

Fast forward a year or two, one of my classmates invited me to play an online game. I was skyping with the friend, FH and some other guys while we played the game.

Same friend asked me if I wanted to have lunch with his friends. That's where I met him in person.

We found out we attended the same college (I took day classes and he took night classes) so we agreed to meet up to register for the new semester.

.. and the rest is history!!

FH and I also met on Plenty of Fish. I was his first date on it and I think he was my 5th? We immediately hit it off and three days later he asked me to be his gf. A year after that and he asked me to marry him

It was instant love as I attempted to usurp his position in a band. It didn’t work, he found it amusing, and I friend-zoned him. We were friends for six years before I couldn’t hold feelings any longer. Ten years later...we’re getting married. It took some time but I actually caved a long time ago. It was ALWAYS him...My Love!

FH and I met at a young employee happy hour! We work at the same (very large) company, the winter after I'd finished college and started working full time. I'd met a lot of his friends at various volunteering/social events, but not him. I went to these happy hours a lot to meet other people my age. FH walked in with a girl I knew, and she introduced us. FH and I talked the whole evening and had a ton in common. Our mutual friend told him to ask me out (and told me he liked me!). He asked me out the following week. That was January/February 2014. We got engaged in February 2019. The wedding is in less than 8 weeks

I was with my parents at my dads company work picnic when I first met my FH in 2011, he works at the same company as my dad. I decided to go and bug him since ! was bored out of my mind and obviously he liked me cause he agreed to hang out after the picnic ended, he is very shy so I did most of the talking lol. We were friends for over a year before we started dating. The funny thing is that his uncle his my dads supervisor and my FH grew up 4 blocks away from where I grew up but we lived in different school zones so that's why we never met. Now we have 2 beautiful children and will be getting married on October 5th. Walking up to him that day to bug him was the best thing I ever did!
