Oh me too! I can't stand it. I have avoided it a lot, like when a person would ask oh how did you all meet. Finally I was like you know what forget it, I am so happy that I met my FH and wouldn't have it any other way. So now I say it proudly

Ok out story! So I did online dating for years on and off. I’d get annoyed and fed up then I’d decide whatever it’s at least good for a laugh and a story. Most dates were horrible!!!! Anyway my profile was probably the most direct no BS ever...basically said “I have 3 kids, no drama w my ex. My own home, job & car. I expect anyone who dates me to bring the same to the table. Also I don’t want a penpale I want to meet someone!” So he messaged me and said “we’ll i tho k you’re beautiful so I guess the only queation is when can I take you out” I have him a few options, he picked and gave me a few options on location and the rest is history! He was such a gentleman!!!! We had dinner and talked for hours then moved it to a bar to talk some more. After all that he walked me to my car, ASKED if he could kiss me and said goodnight. We’ve been together ever since ❤️

My husband and I met back in high school. I was 15 and he was 17. We were both volunteers at an equine youth camp! We had both gone to this camp since we were little but because of the age difference we were never in the same program until we got into the high school program. I always wanted to be with someone who shared my love of horses and I certainly found the jackpot ☺️ 6 years later he is still my cowboy and now we are married!

I met my FMIL first, she moved to my small town in order to teach at the high school i was going to. She talked about her son a lot and he sounded cool so when he moved to town, we became friends. He definitely friendzoned me in the first two years we knew each other haha but then in grade 12, he asked me out. We had a bit of awkward stuff while I was asking him out so I was nervous but damn am I glad I said yes! We've been going strong for almost 4 years :3

We met in middle school, but never were close friends. Fast forward to a few years after graduating high school, we met at a bar and hit it off. Apparently he always had a crush on me and I had no idea. We have been together now almost 5 years.

We met at a wedding. I was a server and he was a guest. Apparently he had eyes on me all night and at the end when everyone was getting ready to leave we got asked if we were going to the after party. I wasn't planning on it but he piped up and said, "I'll go if you go." So I decided to go. He walked me to my car and got my number "in case I got lost on the way"...smooth I know lol. We were there for 4 hours and didn't talk to a single person except each other. That was August 15, 2015 and on August 15, 2020 we get to have a wedding of our own.

Online. I was a divorced single mother to two teen boys and I had given up on finding the one. The day I went to deactivate my profile I had a message from him. We met a few weeks later and now are planning our wedding.

At the bar through some mutual friends. I was there for my Birthday party bus & he stared at me for the whole night then asked a girl on my bus who I was. Added me on facebook the next day. Slide into the DMs.

I love our story. We were acquaintances that would see each other at different parties and community gatherings over about 3 years. I really liked her smile but never thought she would be interested, so when we got to know each other I made sure to keep it on a friend level. Our mutual friend had me stay with them for a while and I stayed longer when our friend got sick. My FW and I got really close over the span of a year, going to events together and helping take care of our friend in her final months. When my FW had shoulder surgery I was the one to pick her up from the hospital and take care of her. We would watch movies late into the night and eventually I would just stay the night. We still thought we were just friends even though we both knew I had a crush. She was supposed to move out of the state and I was committed to no more dating. One night she kissed me before we fell asleep and other than separate trips or medical reasons we haven't spent a night apart since.
