What’s your love story? ❤️

My FH is actually my ex husband. We were married for 8 years (****), went our separate ways, stayed in contact because of our 2 children. He had a few relationships while apart. He has a daughter from the last relationship he had. In 2016, we got close again and decided to give it another try. It was then I realized how I truly felt about him. So we decided to get married again.

FH and I met in college. We had the same class and somewhat forcefully partnered up together in a group for a project. After that it was a wrap. As a graduation gift to both of us, his parents invited us to go on a cruise with them. It was captain's night the second night in and we were all dressed up.

We went to the top deck to take photos and it was freezing. His parents go first then FH finally calls me over to take ours. I'm shaking my way over to him and he asked me if I was really that cold to be shaking. I said yes so let's hurry. He responded saying maybe this will warm you up and that's when he got down on one knee. I definitely forgot I was cold lol

Thank you! It was also my first REAL cruise (I was in the military so those don't count lol). As for the ring, he actually had a friend figure out my size and what I liked. It didn't seem weird because she was getting married so when we went into the store I thought it was for her ring. I ended up picking my own ring and didn't even know until he opened the box that night. That sneaky little scoundrel lol

FH and I met on Tinder 5 years ago, before you had to pay for swipes haha We talked for a month before we went on our first date to Olive Garden. We moved in together 2 years later and adopted our first fur baby, Khalessi. A month ago, we went on a trip to New Orleans and the evening we arrived, we decided to head over to a jazz club to watch a band play. It was so much fun! We drank hurricanes and danced. Then the band went on break and FH went up to the piano and introduced himself. He said he was going to sing me a song. He started playing the piano and I totally knew what was about to happen. I make my way to the stage as he sang and then when he was done, he turned around and proposed! It was magical!

My ring

My Fiancé and I met in military training camp (AIT) we ended up being partnered together for something and we started talking about everything. Then we got each others numbers and non stopped talked after we graduated AIT we ended up being put in the same unit and then we started dating after we found out. 3 years later when we were at the end of our contract we decided we’d both leave the army and go to college and a week before Christmas he proposed at this light show open garden area.

FH and i actually went to the same college in NJ. We didn’t meet until my senior year when we were both interning in Washington DC. He is 8 years older than me but our time in college aligned bc he spent his years after high school serving in Iraq. When his deployments and commitments to the military were over, he started college. We have been dating almost 4 years long distance since after i graduated college I went straight to law school in PA and he continued working in DC. Feb 2019 he was visiting for valentine’s day. We had dinner and watched the notebook (bc he’s never seen the whole movie!) he got all emotional and started thinking about our future together. We ended up talking about when we wanted to get engaged bc i was graduating from law school that May. All of a sudden he ran into the other room and grabbed his military dog tags (he started to carry them around with him a few months before so i knew he was gonna propose eventually 😂) and got down on one knee!! It was so spontaneous so he used those instead of a ring! It was so special and I am so glad he proposed this way bc we got to pick out the ring together and his military dog tags were so meaningful to him 💕 now we are set to get married May 1, 2021 ❤️❤️

We met on another from Mutual friends , I had just gotten out of a abusive relationship , and he was the light at the end of the tunnel , we really hit things off and became friends soon after boyfriend girlfriend then we found out we were having a baby .. we’ve been together for 3 years soon to be 4 and they have been the best 3 years ever 💍

My FH and I met in college, he was a senior and I was a sophomore! He was friends with my ex-boyfriend at the time, but I had a huge crush on him once we got to act in a play together! I never went for it, though, because I've always been a pretty big scaredy cat! Fast forward to a couple years after graduation, my FH was working at Starbucks in the big city of Chicago, and I was working at Starbucks too and needed to transfer to Chicago, so I asked him if his store needed people! Thankfully they did and we fell in love and we've been together for 6 years! We live in Los Angeles now, but he proposed on our six year anniversary this summer in the Lurie Garden in Chicago and it was magical and everything I ever wanted! He took me on an entire tour of all of our favorite Chicago spots on the day of our anniversary and after he proposed, we went to a party in my favorite neighborhood in the city with a bunch of our friends! And he picked out the ring himself and I can't stop staring at it every day!!!

WAITING IN FAITH

Brian and Tara had both been praying for a helpmeet since early 2018. God had been leading them on parallel paths as they traversed the country, winding up in Columbus, Ohio.In August 2018 Tara began to pray in earnest for God to bring her a husband. God's answer was "He's not ready yet." During this time Brian had just arrived in Ohio and was settling in. Tara stayed faithful to her prayers and prayed for the man she had not yet met.In December Tara heard God's instructions to set an electric candle on top of her anointing oil and place it in her window nightly as a sign of faithfully waiting for her bridegroom. Tara had two such candles and did so nightly. The first candle went out and Tara replaced it with the second candle.The day after the second candle's battery died Tara and Brian met in a coffee shopBrian was not sure right away that what he felt would be reciprocated by Tara. That was until she boldly stated that she really liked him a lot, and she felt a connection and that his energy was great.

PRAYING IN OBEDIENCE

Brian and Tara hit it off right away. They soon began to realize that there was something more. Tara asked Brian to put the breaks on their fast moving connection while Brian felt that he was being led to pursue Tara in courtship. Both wanted to be obedient to God. Brian gave Tara the space she needed to pray and meditate on what this meant. Tara asked God for guidance and clear direction. Tara did not want her own desires to be the guide but wanted God to show them clearly that this was the man being brought to her.

STANDING IN HOPE

During this time of waiting for God to say "move," Brian began attending church with Tara. Brian felt at home there and quickly became involved with the men's ministries. While both continued to maintain a friendship only relationship people began to mistake Brian as Tara's husband! During a special event at church the air was charged with change and expectation of God's moving. It was there on April 7th that confirmation of God's blessing for them was received to move forward in courtship.

On May 26th Brian proposed to Tara over two chili dogs and lots of laughter.
