    Wanted to add, make sure you dont pay tax on gratuity. Not sure its universal, but in my state you dont. Also you are technically not supposed to tip on the post tax amount, but as a parttime waitress Im glad most people dont know that.

    Ontario's lovely 13% HST so it goes on EVERYTHING, including gratuity.

    Local 4% + State tax 6%, for a total of 10%
