I'm looking for some advice. We signed our venue contract with the Westin in ka'anapali literally three weeks before the tragic fires happened. The timeline given to me of when their wedding coordinator would reach out to me with their preferred list of vendors was 2 weeks after we signed our contract. I waited and followed up asking if they could just provide me their list so that I could start doing some research, even though at the time they were short handed and wasn't able to assign me someone from their team yet. Then the week after the fires and of course my expectations were reset. It's been over two months and I'm just waiting to see when the team will be reach out to me, but in the meantime I'm just trying to gauge what is the proper timeline of when I should really be looking to book the different vendors and realistically how far ahead do venues normally provide dinner options to plan that piece out? I obviously don't want to bother the team out there due to the event in West Maui, but at what point should I start to worry?
At this point, we're still about 10 months away from our date, and I want to respect the Westin team's attention to things happening in the community for as long as I possibly can. Any advice on what to do or approach this, would really help calm my anxiety around this. Thanks!
