What was your wedding budget?

Sydney, on April 9, 2018 at 12:51 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 108
And are you managing to stay under or are you over it?

FH and I set a budget of $10,000, and we're closer to about $12,000 because we spent more on catering and an open bar than planned. We both agreed we'd rather spend a little more to make our guests happen.

I wouldn't call it a budget but when we started we thought the wedding would cost us about $25K. Ended up being almost double... oops lol

ETA: We had 80 guests, DW in South Florida.

** I would also ask the number of guests, budget alone doesn't provide frame of refernece without the number of guests you're feeding/boozing on that budget.

Ours was $20k for 80 guests

We originally thought we could have a wedding for under $15,000 but quickly realized that’s impossible in San Diego considering the size of our guest list. It’s realistically $30,000 not including rings. And that was cutting corners in some areas, finding a budget-friendly dress, thrift store decor. It’s crazy how quickly things add up.

Our original budget for 80 people was $5,000 which is our area was laughable.

We ended up staying just under $15k for our 80 guests (we planned for 80 and had 15 no shows).

We didn't really have a set budget, but were looking at $20-25k. It'll end up being close to $28k, not including rings or the honeymoon when everything is said and done. We're looking at 150 guests in the Midwest.

I did not want to have to finance any of our wedding, so our budget was $6,000. So far we are $5,600 and only have a few more things to buy. We have 125 guest and happened to find a venue that included pretty much everything (bar, alcohol, dj, food, tables, chairs, linens, plates, etc.) It also helped that my stepfather is our officiant so there was no cost there.

Original budget was $10k for 125 guests. We are now around $15k. 😂 of course I made that budget before I really started looking in to how much things would cost.

We initially thought 10K but upon pricing things out decided we needed to change.

Our wedding will cost around 20K total. We are being gifted a large portion of that by my parents who are paying for our venue (semi inclusive with alcohol and catering). Our budget for the portions of the wedding we are paying for is around 5-7K. Our guest list is capped at 130

We figured we would spend about $15-20k and I think we stayed right around $20-25k, though I'm actually not sure what our exact total was.

This was for 52 guests in the SF Bay Area.

12-15k for 80 guests in Wisconsin. Originally wanted much smaller and less expensive but I really wanted my guests to enjoy themselves since my family will be traveling from California, Texas, Missouri, etc to celebrate with me.

Our budget is $30,000 and we are 3 weeks out, and we're going to be over budget by about $5,000. Thankfully FH worked a ton of overtime shifts last month, so it's not an issue. We originally budgeted for 100 guests and we ended up inviting 133 and 127 are coming - so that accounts for the majority of the overage on the budget.

Our budget was $45,000 for 180 people. We may be going over that though, unfortunately.

I set a budget of about 8k for 30 guests. We changed the venue and cut guest list down to 23, so we are looking at about $5,500 now with everything. I’m ok with being under budget though lol
