What was your something borrowed?

I have old, new, and blue. I can't seem to decide on what should borrowed though. Inspire me!

I'll be using jewelry that was my grandma's and great grandma's. Not sure what pieces yet.

My friend made me a fabric flower. It had blue from her bridesmaid dresses, a piece from her wedding dress, and an old antique key/letter B on it. Somehow that qualifies for all three. We sewed it to my bouquet.

My father is "old fashioned" and I asked to borrow a handkerchief. The day of my wedding, I realized I had forgotten earrings, my mother had an extra pair with her so I borrowed her earrings as well (giving me 2 "something borrowed" items).

Excuse the dumb question, but what is the "old"? A possession of your own that is old? Lol serious question though.

My old will be my E-ring as it was FH great grandmothers. My new will be my dress. I'm going to have some the the lace from my grandmothers dress sewn into mine with blue thread (so technically 2 olds) as my something blue and I'm still torn on the borrowed. I love the handkerchief idea as my dad's old fashioned too!

I borrowed my grandmother's broach from my mom and attached it inside my dress. My mom told me that I should keep it, but I kept reminding her that it was going to be my something borrowed.

My mom is giving me the blue garter both she and my grandmother wore for their weddings. So that's blue and old...kind of borrowed?

I'll probably also borrow some earrings from my mom. Wear some old pearls from my paternal great-grandmother.

The bottom of my shoes are also blue.

I have a lot of the bases covered and I wasn't even necessarily trying to do this tradition. I'm sure you'll find something...but jewelry or things the women in your family wore for their wedding are good options.

I "borrowed" a penny minted in 1982 from my dad. He's a coin enthusiast and it's a hobby he's shared information with me on so it had more special meaning then just my birth year.
